By far the worst dealer in Thunder Bay. Service department is embarrassing, no updates on vehicle status and they don’t answer the phone. Trying to get warranty work done there is just a terrible experience no one cares and you get jerked around by the staff at the desk. no one answers the phone and when you do leave a message you might get called back in a week but more than likely you won't. No wonder they are rated so poorly. every experience with the service department has been atrocious i tell every one i can not to buy a honda for the sole reason of having to deal with service department .I've called and filed complaints with honda canada but they are independently owned so nothing is going to be done. Do Not Buy a Vehicle from this dealership ever. More
Have been a solid Honda owner since 1989. All of my dealings have been with Honda garages in southern Ontario, where the service and communication has been excellent. Moved to Th. Bay three years and have since lost respect for this garage. There seems to be a low moral and frustration amidst the staff, poor communication and deliberate ' fudgy lies' when dealing with delays in service. It is almost as if the staff are afraid to come out with the truth as to why your car is not ready on time. My most frustrating part is there is no one answering the phones though the receptionist states she is there all day by the phone except for 'bathroom breaks'. I think she has a lazy boy chair in the bathroom as the phone is seldom answered and any messages you leave are never responded to. For the most part, I have been treated very well by the service people...if you go to see them in person'.....it is the overall attitude, lack of respect, lack of communication [lack of phone contact[ that they seem to project. I feel for the staff that are working there, it should be a place of pride, the Honda is an excellent car, and I love them. However, my next car will NOT be bought at this garage and since I now live in Thunder Bay, will not be my beloved HONDA. More
Details: Honda was suppose to fox the shock absorber 3rd time. I asked him to help me call Canada Honda as jeff requested so I drove to Thunder Bay Honda/ gore motor who I h I missed work day 1 for 3 hours. time. Day 2 jeff gave me the run around by calling Honda Canada. I went to Thunder Bay Honda/ gore motor dealership again for 2 hrs missed work and jeff stated they would set me up with a rental for my 40 hrs trip. When I came to the office he walked away and said he “won’t help me” ( 6 front desk witness) I’d attach letter but no option. The shock absorber I gave 3 years of the part being defective since my warranty ran out but Honda agreed to fix for green after pulling teeth with my recent repairs/ receipts from the warranty with the exact same part same issues. Documentation has been provided to Jane at Honda Canada. Confirmation and invoices and letters from managers has been provided. Jeff took no responsibility Ty until I showed him the invoice that stated my car is safe to drive as manager Jeff attempted to drive it out of Honda driver and finally acknowledged and confirmed I was 100% right. Letter was provided to fox for free but acknowledgement for my “safe to drive” my 45 hrs road trip with my 3 young kids. Documents have been provided. Still waiting for responsibility and compensation. No one response for far; however, the 6 front desk people witnessed this neglect and mistreatment so they provided me Jeff email after witnessing 2 days of bullying. jeff goremotors.com Ty Michelle Marie More

Another Honda dealership has confirmed this and is willing to assist in the lawsuit to protect the Honda name. I believe there are more people out there who were victims of fraud from this place. I would like to launch a class action lawsuit against Gore Motors. Do not buy a vehicle from this dealership. We are sending info about this to Japan, Honda as The Canadian Head Office wont do anything about them. If you see positive comments on here it probably came from employees or executives of this dealership. Remember when you first walk in, that smile they put on , is them reaching for your money. I went there with a small repair work which they said ‘would take only 5 minutes, and they would get it d Would have used zero stars if i could. I had go back there at least 5 times only to find out that they were missing one part every time. On Monday, i got a call saying that the “last part” is in, and i could come in and get it done. I went there, but they refused to do it saying that they couldnt get it done till the 12th. I told him that they offered to get it done in 5 minutes after i come in, but he refused. I asked for the money i spent back, so that i could get the job done efficiently elsewhere but, he again refused a couple times before he agreed to it. I was totally patient the whole time, but going back and forth a fifth time only to find out that they are asking me to come in a sixth time was inconvenient and against everything that the other person who helped me first agreed to. Even after they promised me a call back when they get the parts, they did not call me the first time.. i went back after a month to find out that they already got the part, but forgot to call me. The communication between the associates as well as with the customers is poor. The only thing in the end was waste of money, gas, a lot of time and patience. For anyone who wants to get some service or repair done, go to anywhere but this place. They just make you go and come back a 100 times, and its not worth the effort. More
