Hi (Kris, I assume), You and I have spoken with the issue on my vehicle. I'd prefer not to completely delve into the specifics just yet as I'd prefer to not end up on a non-preferred customer "list" due to my review, which I tried to be as forthright and honest as possible. You listened to my issue and you actually did appear to spearhead the efforts of your staff when trying to address the issue. Where the experience fell short for me was once the diagnosis was complete (with feedback from Kia Canada I was told), I was given the typical "normal for conditions" when I know not only is my particular issue fixable, but it is also not acceptable for the price point of the vehicle (if needing a reason for it to ever be acceptable). I felt you did what diligence you could and I suspect the possibility that your upper management or Kia Canada may have shot down your efforts, but I feel at a loss since I know this outcome is not typical of all dealers since there are many others within the country and outside that have dealers putting in an exemplary effort to get to the root of the problem. It is those dealers that put in the extra effort that are typically the leads in finding the root cause of these systemic problems plaguing multiple vehicles, I was hoping Go Kia South would also be a leader since your customer service is otherwise very good. I am still uncertain how I would like to proceed with my remediation. I expect the issue to be fixed but I am uncertain how this resolution will come and who will perform it. Kia corporate is well aware of this issue, it has been documented as such, but the official resolution has either not been solved or has not yet been distributed to dealers. I don't know if different Kia regions receive different information, but there are complaints and remediation within Canada, albeit potentially not an inexpensive fix for Kia. I may wait for this official documentation, and in the meantime I will just have to live with my imperfect vehicle until then. Just to be clear, I have a very in depth knowledge of numerous aspects of manufacturing, administration, supply chain, and a learned understanding of how dealerships operate from both a sales and service perspective, compounded with a very in depth knowledge of most mechanical aspects of automobiles. I'm not the typical oblivious vehicle owner, and I feel someone is giving someone the runaround in this situation, but I'm not sure if it is Kia to you, or Go Kia South to me. It's just too bad it's my problem. I don't want anything special or preferential treatment, I just want this problem fixed so the vehicle can be the otherwise spectacular car that it is and was advertised to be (think of all those JD Power initial quality awards in your dealership).
