I purchased a 2014 Dodge Journey, during the negotiation stage I was informed on numerous occasions that th Do not buy a vehicle from this dealership. I purchased a 2014 Dodge Journey, during the negotiation stage I was informed on numerous occasions that the car had not previously been used as a hire vehicle and was shown a car fax that confirmed this. My contract of sale also included a signed declaration stating it was never used as a hire car. I have since found out that this dealership actually purchased the vehicle from Hertz Hire Rentals. Upon this discovery I contacted the dealership and informed them of my discovery, at first they seemed happy to help and this was a big mistake on their part and what they could they do to make this right. I requested a simple solution, please can they exchange my car for the same make and model but one that previously been a hire car. After two days of searching they informed me they could not find one however, if I put up some extra cash I can drive away in a brand new 2015 model, this was something that I was not prepared to do. They have now back tracked and said they actually informed me the vehicle was an ex rental and I must have forgotten, this was never the case and was a blatant lie. As far as I'm concerned that have knowingly misrepresented the history of the vehicle in order to achieve financial gain, basically committing fraud. I would suggest anyone who has purchased a vehicle to check this has not happened to them as I was shown a car fax that was incorrect, something which I have learnt is not possible. I am now stuck with a car that I no longer want and this dealership has washed their hands of the problem hoping for it to go away. More
They earned my business Before I walked into Go Dodge Surrey, I had walked out of 4 dealerships in the lower mainland the day before that all failed to earn my business. Before I walked into Go Dodge Surrey, I had walked out of 4 dealerships in the lower mainland the day before that all failed to earn my business. I was greeted with a smile and fluffy promises I'd been hearing a lot of lately. But it was Go Dodge that was truest to their word and earned my business. Of course as a consumer I did my due diligence and went in prepared with figures, comparisons, mechanical knowledge, and having read fine print; and they did their due diligence. Even though I wasn't buying a brand new vehicle worth $35,000 I felt respected and treated fairly. When sharing my experience I explain "I may be their customer, but Go Dodge works for me". Turns out the whole car buying process can actually be hassle and haggle free. My concerns were all taken care of and they committed to maintaining this relationship in the future. I even had a good time buying car insurance from an onsite agent who was most helpful and informative. 16 years of buying car insurance and it might as well have been my first. To avoid sounding like one of their own employees writing themselves a rave review I will mention a couple things: 1) Their inspection checklist is short, and doesn't cover a few basic components. However when I brought one to their attention that needed addressing... no problem. 2) I know they are busy, but I left there setting up a sale from a family member, yet didn't receive any follow-up. Doesn't change my experience though. More
