Shouldnt have passed safety. Poor customer service dept. This has been the second vehicle and last vehicle I ever buy. Sales folks are great but if you buy a vehicle from here I urge you to have it looked at by another mechanic. More

My girlfriend and I wanted to buy a car and they were more than willing to jump through hoops to sell one. All our ducks were in a row to purchase, but as diligent consumers we weren't about to haphazardly jump into a sale without doing a little research first. We called several dealerships as well as consulting a couple websites (unhaggle/carcostcanada) to ensure we weren't being raked over the coals... Sure enough that's exactly what was happening. After mentioning the websites we had consulted the gig was up and all the dealerships cut the bullsh*t... Except one (take a guess). Through some misguided sense of loyalty we truly tried our best to give Edwards Mazda the sale but they simply could/would not match the price that Kanata Mazda gave us. At the end of the day we walked out the door saving an even 2k and .5% interest, not bad. Unfortunately for us Kanata Mazda dropped the Pre-Delivery Inspection ball and sent us home in a Mazda3 with non functional washer nozzles, leaving us with a bug cemetery on the windshield by the time we got home. Even more unfortunately, 2 days afterwards we got a check engine light warning us of an "engine malfunction" in which we needed to see a dealership immediately. This is where things get fun. We took the car to Edwards Mazda and they downright refused to do any warranty work to the vehicle. And just to salt the wound they even refused to plug their computer in to let us know if we could safely drive the vehicle back to Kanata. Why you ask? Because, as Mr. Wilke put it: "You didn't buy from us, you wasted our time". We then asked him if this is how he does business, to which he rather rudely replied: "We only do business this way with people like you". Knowing that 'people like you' could be grossly misinterpreted we just assumed he meant financially responsible adults. But I digress. Future potential customers, you can breathe a sigh of relief, you are NOT like us. I should add that before the conversation could escalate beyond us using our library voices, Mr. Wilke swiftly fled the scene behind some unmarked door, likely for a pre-lunch cookie break. We've now lodged a complaint against Edwards with Mazda Canada (surprise surprise, we're not the first). Much to our chagrin the Mazda Canada rep was unable to convince Edwards to renege their stance, despite their stance being against the rules. She was forced to escalate the situation and we're now awaiting her call back. Long story short, there are some good people at Edwards Mazda, but the dealership as a whole is a sore loser. If you live in Petawawa/Pembroke and don't mind getting bent over a barrel to ensure local warranty work, go to Edwards. If you value fair treatment and fair prices, go elsewhere. More
