Just seemed they wanted extract every buck they could I went to the dealership to purchase a new vehicle, and went with a new Optima due to a sale. When it came time to negotiate price, the salesman start I went to the dealership to purchase a new vehicle, and went with a new Optima due to a sale. When it came time to negotiate price, the salesman started by negotiating in terms of monthly payment only, ignoring the sale price and instead opening with a payment that was around twice that of the advertised sale. He aggressively pushed a VAP package which was full of of things that I didn't need like nitrogen filled tires and wheel lock nuts, even going so far as to state that "We basically don't sell vehicles without VAP." Once price was settled the finance guy pushed hard on other extras like payment protection insurance that would nearly double the payments on the vehicle. He kept pushing until I told him that, look, I'm just not interested. It seemed that all they cared about was extracting every possible dollar they could out of me. Not recommended. More
Great experience with Spencer at eastside kia My girlfriend and I recently purchased a brand new Rio from Eastside Kia. This was our first time purchasing a new vehicle and were quite overwhelmed. My girlfriend and I recently purchased a brand new Rio from Eastside Kia. This was our first time purchasing a new vehicle and were quite overwhelmed. However the friendly staff, especially Spencer made us feel right at home and comfortable with making our first big purchase. Spencer and Ali walked us through every detail and helped us get everything we needed without any additional pressure to upgrade options or to a vehicle that was not right for us. Spencer was extremely organized and returned our emails almost instantly and really helped us make an informed decision. Overall we are very happy with our experience at eastside kia and Spencer. We will definitely be coming back when we decide to upgrade to two vehicles in the future! We love our new car! Thanks! Kory and Katie More

Sheldon Mcmahon, is an excellent sales rep. who really cares about you as a customer. I think he is one of the few sales reps you can actually trust to in the car industry. By far, my best experience buying a pre-owned car. I picked up my Honda CRV last night and I can not be more happy! Thank you Sheldon! Patricia More

I went in there to trade in my old Kia and possibly upgrade to a new vehicle. I was very very specific with Spencer and told him at least 5 times that I was not interested in leather seats or any othe upgrade to a new vehicle. I was very very specific with Spencer and told him at least 5 times that I was not interested in leather seats or any other payment terms than 60 months straight. After a bunch of talk and and crap conversing with the finance and or sales manager just to stall and waste my time, Spencer came back and had numbers for me that were for a car with leather seats (again, I specifically said I hated leather seats) at a price much higher than even that model is advertised for, and, he came back with terms of this stupid 60/84 which again I said I do NOT want. I finally got pissed off and said enough, we are done. Goodbye Eastside Kia. I have spoken to several people and have heard similar stories. In fact, I spoke to a different dealership altogether today and heard he had similar complaints from a customer that came over to him right after dealing with Eastside Kia sales personnel and this person ended up buying a vehicle from this other dealership. That is down at least two sales in the same day, Eastside Kia - way to go! Eastside Kia has only one thing going for it and that is the service department, in my opinion. More
Was totally dissatisfied with the customer service I received from the Sales manager of the used car sales department. I would not recommend the use car sales. Bought a used car there and started havin received from the Sales manager of the used car sales department. I would not recommend the use car sales. Bought a used car there and started having problems with the car,(two weeks after) service tried to fix..ended up going to Shaw GM to get it fixed as well. Needed a fob for the car so the security light would stop coming on and make the car not start. Still having problem after 4 months...in advertising they say ALL cars come with a warranty ( not true) talked to sales manager about problem and how we could fix it and make me happy. Said there is no warranty on cars under $5000 (which I was not told and was not offered to buy extended warranty)and I should have bought extended warranty. Had a young salesman when we bought the car.Told me he could not help me and I was on my own to deal with the car. I even lease a car from them and had no problem until now.....even being a member of the Calgary Flames family does not give you any advantage...it's your word against theirs, I think even if you had something in writing they would still no honour that.....beware!!, More

I feel positively duped by this dealership and wish I would have read the reviews prior to going there and saved myself a trip. Eastside Kia was recommended by someone so I just figured I was going to g would have read the reviews prior to going there and saved myself a trip. Eastside Kia was recommended by someone so I just figured I was going to get a good deal dealing with trustworthy people. I had gone to purchase one vehicle that was advertised and told none of those existed and was convinced to purchase something else. I felt pressured to buy and found out that that price I paid was considerably more than the website. I had researched the price for the vehicle I wanted to buy and didn't realize how much the sales person was jacking up the price of the vehicle I ended up buying. When I sent an email to Kia Canada I was told I have to deal with the dealership directly as they were individually owned. When I sent an email to Eastside Kia they did not even have the courtesy to respond to my issues. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone and have gone out of my way to make sure anyone that asks knows not to deal with them. I guess I should have stuck to Ford! More
I have gone into this dealership twice looking at the Optima. First time the sales person was not educated on the trims, colours, features nor what they had in stock. He would only make a rough estimat Optima. First time the sales person was not educated on the trims, colours, features nor what they had in stock. He would only make a rough estimate on the prices. Second time I was in the sales person (male) was personable and answered all most all of my questions with out hesitating and added to the information. Problem came when it came to price. He claimed it was a $1500 rebate on cash purchases. (actually $2000) The first 3 payments on us, as $1100 it is actually $1200 etc... when I checked it out on the website he came up with the excuse that it was up to the dealerships to decide but he would honour it if it was on the Kia website. Even when I make an offer and break down the factory discounts along with their own advertised discounts it confuses them. Some dealerships are even adding $350 for block heaters to be added. When most include them in the cost. Car shopping with dealerships is getting frustrating. More
