Placed a $1K deposit for 2025 RAV4 Hybrid SE in grey metallic on Dec 28, 2024. I never received the car and had to reorder again. During the waiting period, I never received one message from Giessen Li at Don Valley North Toyota on the status of my order. I emailed him early September but no reply back. I decided to visit him at the dealership near mid September. He informed me no news and probably have to wait for 2026 model. I decided to research about the 2026 model and told him Canada will o be selling the Hybrid SE model. He said no, Canada will. I told him that is good news. A month later, he contacted me there was an exact car available but it comes with rust proof protection. If you want it, you will need to add $1,800 plus tax. I told him that is overpriced and not an option that I wanted. He said no problem. So on October 21, 2025, I reordered again for 2026 RAV4 Hybrid XLE Premium in Storm Cloud. Of course, Giessen never contacts me about the price release or the order status. I have to do the legwork for him. As a sales agent, you should build a good customer relationship with your clients but not him. He has an attitude problem and not very friendly. No customer relationship skills. I emailed him last week on my order but of course, no response. In order to get any news, you would have to visit him from your busy schedule. His answer would be no news. Oh by the way, someone cancel and there is a car available with these options, you just have to pay and extra $3,500…. In order to receive a car, it seems you must purchase these options to get in a timely manner. If not, you will never get the car plus lose $1,000 in deposit. This is my first time purchasing a Toyota and it will probably be my last time. Worst experience ever. I have purchased an Acura, Honda, BMW, and Mazda before and no issues at all. I knew about the wait time but not the upselling part. This is wrong by Don Valley North. More
I placed a $1000 deposit for a 2025 Corolla Hybrid LE AWD back in April 2024. Waited until November 2025 and they said they still did not have any car. I was so frustrated and went to other Toyota dealer. The this dealer told me that was impossible, they can get me a car, same model in a month!! Don Valley North Toyota just didn't want to sell me a car and kept my deposit for over a year. The sales rep was called Tony Cao. I will never go back to this dealer ever again, and I am letting everyone I know not to go to this dealer. More

Stay away from this location. Their service department is the worst I’ve ever encountered. Had a check up appointment on my new brand 2024 Toyota, and a change of winter tires. I’ve waited for 4 hours, no one got me one phone call for updates. Called four times, left messages as no one pick up the phone. When I finally picked up the car after 4 hours, I’ve noticed they reused the old muddy dirty plastic bags that I previously had on my summer tires to cover the winter tires. They xxxxed up my car interior. How cheap and crazy can you be to use the same muddy old plastic bags.? They supposedly to complimentary wash the car as well..my car looks as if someone spit on it. It’s stained and dirty. Also inside the car was smelling alcohol. Probably they drink as well. No one talked to me about anything that has been done to the car or to give me an assessment to the check up. They charged you and gives you xxxx. Don’t go to this Don Mills Toyota Dealership. I will never come back and will file a formal complaint. Horrible experience that will cost me extra money to clean the car. Stay away of this place. More

I am very impressed by their excellent customer service from the receiving team to meeting with the assigned Technical Advisor. Servic serve my cars. Services are always timely and my assigned technical advisor Mr Ching Lai is very helpful and he would explain all the needed services to me and got them fixed in a timely manner. If the wait was too long he would even arrange Uber Rides for me. That’s very thoughtful of Mr Ching Lai. More

I have some issues with their maintenance service and complimentary tire swap package, and instead of increasing worse in terms of customer service. I have some issues with their maintenance service and complimentary tire swap package, and instead of increasing their services, they choose to let down their customers and charge me for the tire swap. - I got the reminder emails from 2 of their Service Dept. agents [Joan Zhou and Hairmary Zekaryas] regarding maintenance service, but after I sent replies to schedule an appointment, none of them confirmed back with me. *** I've had enough of this dealership. If this is how they treat their loyal customers, then I’ll take my business elsewhere and purchase my future vehicles from a dealership that values its customers and provides consistent after-sales support.
