Great dealership to buy from. I bought a used truck from davis. The salesman was knowledgeable on all questions I had about the vehicle. Poor Service in drive thru/ I dropped my truck off at 8 am and reminded them i need vehicle back no later than 12 pm. i told them that when i booked the appointment the week befo I dropped my truck off at 8 am and reminded them i need vehicle back no later than 12 pm. i told them that when i booked the appointment the week before. I went to dealership at noon because i did not hear any thing from my service advisor Victoria, thinking truck was done. noticed truck still sitting in the service drive thru. I talked to her and asked why it was not done and she told me with an attitude that there was nothing on work order for time. At 3pm i still have not heard anything so i called dealership and was told they were working on second problem. I finally received a call at 3;45 that truck was done but they need to order part for the second problem that was wrong so i need to re-book another appointment. When i booked the appointment they said they would order part right away. the part was never ordered. so why was i lied to and told they were working on second problem when they did not even have the part there.. I went and picked up truck and noticed that the one problem was worse now then before i took truck in. I have had enough of this dealership and the attitude from staff in the drive thru and not impressed with the brand new truck. I am getting tired of taking truck in for all the updates and problems . i bought this truck brand new off the lot and every month i have to take truck in for updates or something else needs to b fixed. Being lied to and disrespected as a customer does not sit well with me. Very unprofessional, will not be going back for any more warranty work or will i ever buy from this dealership again!!!! More
Vehicle problem resolved over holidays in less then one hour Thanks to the entire Davis Team for their prompt service and getting our vehicle back on the road. We were travelling from Cochrane Alberta to Russel Thanks to the entire Davis Team for their prompt service and getting our vehicle back on the road. We were travelling from Cochrane Alberta to Russell Manitoba to visit my elderly parents on December 28, 2015. The trip is approx. 1100 km each way and we always drive it in one day to maximize our visit time. We were making the trip in my 2010 GMC Sierra which was serviced in Calgary in November and had the ON STAR system upgrade completed. At that time I asked if there were any warranty recalls on bulletins that required attention and they said none were identified. Well the trip started out fine a bit of light snow when we left Cochrane so we were glad we brought the truck. With Christmas gifts and 5 of us in the cab it was cozy to say the least. The truck was working fine I have the 6.2 L engine , and the truck only had 49500 km on it. We were approx.. 50 km on the west side of Medicine Hat when the vehicle shuttered, the instrument panel lit up like a Christmas tree with messages like- Stabilitrak shut down, Cruise control deactivated, engine power reduced etc. The truck was shuttering so I pulled over to the side of the road and shut the engine off - luckily most of the errors cleared but the service engine light was still on. The time was about 10:30 am and we still had another 850km to travel. So we checked the internet and saw that Davis GM in Medicine Hat had excellent reviews. We called their Service Department and spoke to Ken Shupenia and explained what happened with our vehicle and asked him if it was OK to continue. He said come into the dealership and he would run a diagnostic test and see what engine codes were happening. We got to the dealership and Ken determined the code was a p2135 throttle position sensor. Ken then found our there was a special coverage for this sensor and GM would cover the replacement and service costs on an extended warranty. Great news as the fix was paid for by GM - however I sure would have liked to know that there was a faulty sensor when I visited my Calgary Dealership and I was told everything was fine. Ken told me they had the parts and they would do their best to make the repair and get us on our way. The dealership certainly delivered. From the time we drove in, the diagnosis made and the repair completed took only 50 minutes. We were so glad that the repair was done so promptly as we still had 850km to travel. Once again our thanks to Ken and the entire service team for this prompt and excellent service. Our trip did continue and the truck worked perfectly - in fact the mileage was a bit better which Ken said it should be as the ECM was recalibrated and the idle reset after the repair. sad and bad deal thinking your buying a good truck Bought a used teuck there in the summer and the staff was nice but if your sales person is no longer working there they dont care about the service Bought a used teuck there in the summer and the staff was nice but if your sales person is no longer working there they dont care about the service when they sell you a used truck they dont look over for problems. My battery is always dying (bought 2 since july) they dont do safety checks for policing service got tickets for tail lights no being the right colours, tinted windows wasnt removed and small lights for plate that didnt work. Interior lights that dont work and heated seats that never turn off.. Very nice truck still but with but always waiting for battery to charge. When going to complain and because the sales lady doesnt work there anymore they dont care. VERY DISAPOINTED. More
