Went beyond what was expected Just recently my wife and I decided that we would take advantage of an offer from Davis to trade in our 2013 GMC Acadia. I popped in to the dealership Just recently my wife and I decided that we would take advantage of an offer from Davis to trade in our 2013 GMC Acadia. I popped in to the dealership and was greeted by Jesse, when asked who I would like to speak to I mentioned Don Nunweiler. At the time, Don was busy with a customer so I was directed to the lounge and told that once Don was free he would come find me and my wife. Unfortunately, having kids means sometimes your plans change and you have to readjust your schedule. So, I figured I better let Jesse know that I had left and would be coming back. When I told her the situation, she asked if I would like Don to call should he be free prior to my return roughly 15 mins later... now that's great customer service if you ask me. So upon my return I was able to connect with Don and chatted about what we would like to do (ie. trade in leased Acadia and re-lease a Terrain). Being that Justin is well versed in the finance world, he was the finance guy when we originally leased the Acadia in 2013...) Don mentioned that we should have a chat with Justin so I was aware of what would happen with the early termination of the lease. Kudos to Justin for giving it to me in layman's terms, usually you get all the financial fluff that confuses the customer. So after a bit of discussion and some number crunching, Don presented an offer on a 2016 Terrain that met and exceeded my expectations. After a couple quick texts to my wife... you know to ask what color and of the price on the offer was ok... I was offered the Terrain for the rest of the weekend. Never have I had a dealership offer that. Usually it's a test drive WITH the salesman. Davis has gotten this one right in letting the customer enjoy a test drive and make an informed decision. WELL DONE!! So after a quick test drive by my wife...that's all she needed to fall in love with the Terrain, I returned back to the dealership and told Don we would take the weekend to be 100% sure we wanted to proceed...I will concede, it was me that needed the time, my wife wanted to keep it right then and there. Once Monday came around, it was the 29th of February and I was well aware the incentives in the deal may not be there should the deal not be processed that day. So I spoke with Robin in Finance and asked what information he needed. After we took care of the credit application, Robin let me know he would post the deal as done so we would get the incentives for February. Fast forward to a snowy March 1st and the unthinkable happens... I get a call from my wife saying she's been in an accident. So I take off from work to make sure she and my daughter are ok. The first thing she says is sorry I wrecked our vehicle and now we cannot get the new Terrain. Upon making sure that all involved in the accident were ok, I directed the police to have the vehicle towed to Davis for repair. And I myself headed there to discuss the plan of action with Don/Robin/Justin due to the accident. This is where Davis earned a LIFETIME customer! I showed them the picture of the Acadia and let them know that it was being towed to the dealership ASAP. At that point, I was needing to return to work and let Don know that I still wanted to proceed with the deal that was in place, but did not know how to proceed with a trade vehicle that was involved in an accident. Not to mention, since the deal was posted in Davis' books as of the day prior, the accident actually happened in a vehicle that on paper belonged to Davis. When I received a call from Don around lunch time I expected the worst, but was pleasantly surprised by the comments from Don. I was informed that Tim,John,Robin,Justin & Don had discussed the situation and agreed to proceed with the deal as it was prior to the accident. I don't know of any other dealership that would NOT adjust the trade value due to damages from an accident. So again another reason why Davis has gained a customer for life. Once we took delivery of the vehicle, we had one last thing to deal with, which was the $500 gas card. This is where a BIG thanks is owed to Lyndsee, she took time out of her day to personally go and get the card for me as some minor miscommunication resulted in the card not being ready at the time stated. So, in the end, I would 110% refer anyone I know to Davis as they have proven that although the auto sales industry is quite cutthroat, they are willing to go the extra mile and spend a little extra time and money on their customers to ensure that they are 'Completely Satisfied'. I cannot say enough for all that were involved in the process. A huge thank you to ALL!! More
