This was my first car purchase, and after shopping around for a few weeks I came across a pretty reasonable car on Kijiji from AutoMax. 2007 Chevy Cobalt LT with 65,000 KM for $6400. I called the dealership and Patrick helped me out by giving me some information, and was very happy to do so. After talking with him, he phoned me back a few minutes later and offered to drive the car down to my home so I could check it out. I'm new to car buying and even I knew this was highly unusual, but very welcome none the less! We took the car out and looked at it and decided that it was the car for me, so we discussed terms and payment information. All went well except a slight miscommunication about a hidden mandatory fee, but went ahead anyway since it added a few benefits to the car. If you are buying a car here, expect to add an extra $600+ to the car, just a heads up. Patrick offered to take me to the dealership and back which was very convenient and kind of him. I was treated very well at the dealership and all the staff were very kind. (If you aren't used to feeling pampered though I can understand feeling a tad uneasy during the experience, but it's miles better than bad service for sure.) For my first car purchase experience I was overall very pleased with the whole process, and was able to get my car a day after putting the down payment, since they cleaned it up for me. They cleaned up the outside very well, the inside was cleaner as well, but still had a few spots here and there. So in the end, it was a good experience and I would be willing to recommend them to others and doing business with them again! More

The folks at Automax don't work on commission, and it shows. My parents had initially spoken with Ryndel but when we came in he was busy with another customer. Patrick took me through the inventory of their current cars and helped me narrow down a couple that would be of the most interest. He even offered to teach me to drive standard! While we were waiting for the car to be brought to the lot Patrick took the time to chat with my parents and I and made me the best cup of tea I've ever had. The interactions at auto max feel genuine. Patrick spoke with me as a person and not as a potential lead. I enjoyed my shopping experience immensely. Their kindness doesn't stop once you've purchased a vehicle. I've been told again and again that the financing guy is the hardest part of buying a new car. Not true at automax! Greg was transparent about the entire process and never once tried to foist off any extras. I truly feel that I got a great deal on my car and financing I can afford. Patrick went on vacation shortly after I had purchased my car but that didn't mean there wasn't help when I needed it. Ryndel was there to take care of me when I needed a code for my radio and to help with the installation of my block heater. Truly there was never a gap in the customer service I received. I enjoyed all of the people I met at automax and would highly recommend this dealership and Patrick and Ryndel for any future car purchases. More

Of all the dealerships we went to in the week or so before going to Automax in Winnipeg, he was the only salesman that truly seemed to want to help us find the vehicle that was right for us. We told him the type we were looking for, the colors we would consider, and the price range. We didn't find anything that day that we really wanted, so we left him our e-mail address and phone number, and he started a search for us. He found us a few vehicles in the next week or two that we drove back into Winnipeg to test drive, but we decided against buying either of them for one reason or another. He never got frustrated with us at all, as we took up quite a bit of his time, and kept in close contact with us in his search for the vehicle that was right for us. Then after about 3 weeks he found it. We went in and it was perfect in all areas for what we wanted. We bought it and have been very happy with the experience of buying from Auto Max in Winnipeg and especially the way we were treated by Ryndel before, during, and after the sale, as we have talked to him many times since leaving with our Ford Escape. We would definitely go back to that dealership as we were very happy with Ryndel, and all the other staff that helped out as well. More

Patrick was attentive to what I was saying and was able to provide me with the information that I needed to make a good decision.Together with his sales manager, we were able to hammer out a price that I believed to be fair for both the value of my trade and the cost of the vehicle that I eventually purchased. At no time did I feel pressured into making a quick decision and all negotiation was conducted honestly and transparently.
