1st time Mazda purchase! I have purchased a number of new vehicles over the years and have always found my best experiences involved Japanese product dealerships and that thei I have purchased a number of new vehicles over the years and have always found my best experiences involved Japanese product dealerships and that their product was also the most well built, reliable and best value. My wife & I needed a second car and considered several compact cross over type vehicles from Japan, Korea and Europe. After dropping in at Courtenay Mazda to ask to test drive a CX 3 we found sales rep Barry Davis to be very willing to get us on the road within minutes and while we took turns at the wheel, Barry answered our questions and informed us of some the Mazda features. We never felt any pressure to buy and we left it at that. Barry informed us via e mail regarding the promotions being offered for March as we had requested. After mulling it over for one week and many hours on line we decided to return to Courtenay Mazda to test drive the larger CX 5 and we loved it and bought one the next day. The easy going style of Barry was the determining factor in going back to Courtenay as we had many other options. This was the only dealership we have ever dealt with where the owner (Corey Sawchuk) sat down and worked out a deal with us directly. None of that nonsense where the salesman runs back and forth to some mysterious upper room to get approval from some unseen authority.The entire process from start to finish was relaxing but also totally professional. Having never considered Mazda before, I now believe that the build quality and the performance leaves the competitions product looking a bit crude even though you will pay as much for a vehicle in the same segment. The one hour drive home did not disappoint my wife or myself - great handling CUV and the "Mica Soul Red" colour had people looking! More

Courtney Mazda is a game changer Never had such a great dealer experience! Bought online, flew to the dealership, picked up at the airport by Chantelle in my new-to-me car! From the very first, everyone I dealt with went above and beyond: regular voice/email communication providing me with additional info on the car, helping me through the purchase with suggestions - never pushy! Met Chantelle and Logan at the dealership and enjoyed the most relaxed and friendly service I have ever experienced at a car lot! BTW, I've purchased 4 new cars over the years plus many used. These folks are game changers! Think friends/family rather than car sales folks. Top it all off, the owner, Corey, comes out and shakes my hand thanking me for my business. I told him I couldn't believe the star treatment I was receiving, considering my modest purchase! I simply cannot say enough about these folks!
