Avoid this dealership! Deceptive financial practices and predatory scams. I purchased a car here in April this year. On the day of signing, the Finance Manager, Joseph, Deceptive financial practices and predatory scams. I purchased a car here in April this year. On the day of signing, the Finance Manager, Joseph, explicitly told me that my loan was locked and I couldn’t pay it off early without heavy penalties. Recently, I secured the funds to clear the loan, so I emailed Joseph to ask about the exact payoff details. Instead of replying in writing, he called me and claimed the loan was "locked-in until next February" and that if I paid it off now, I would "pay more than what I owed." Suspicious, I finally checked my signed Conditional Sale Contract. My signed contract clearly states that this is an open loan with ZERO prepayment charges. When I emailed Joseph again asking where this "lock-in" clause was, he ignored me completely. I had to escalate this to the General Manager, Jordan Romeril. Only then did Joseph reply—with a complete lie. He gaslighted me, claiming he "forgot" to mention I could just pay the finance company directly because it was "the end of a long day." Even worse, the GM, Jordan, has been completely silent and ignoring my follow-up emails. Are they ignoring me because I am an immigrant woman whose native language is not English, viewing me as an easy target? Or is lying to protect financing commissions their routine dealership policy? If I hadn't reviewed my contract myself, I would still be paying high interest based on Joseph's fraudulent words. They ruthlessly deceive innocent customers just to protect their commissions. I am filing a formal complaint with AMVIC immediately. Avoid Country Hills Hyundai / Genesis at all costs. More
