The car was $1500 over market price for that age, km, and condition ($5700 + doc fee vs $4200 value) yet he was unwilling to budge even a cent on the price even when shown many equivalent vehicles for much lower prices as well as the blue book value. Make sure to do your research before going in to ensure that you are not scammed into spending much more than is fair by a salesman claiming to be "open and transparent." More

Poor customer service Recently brought our 2014 Hyundai in for a#1 service with the addition of a tire rotation. That is what we booked. What we received and paid for was Recently brought our 2014 Hyundai in for a#1 service with the addition of a tire rotation. That is what we booked. What we received and paid for was a #2 service. When I brought it in, the service advisor told me what was being done, but never mentioned that it was a #2 service. I then discovered that a tire rotation is always done with a #2 service so it was already done in the previous service. We had to make 3 phone calls to get a response and was never given the opportunity to speak to a manager. They also do a sludge hot oil removal service every #2. It is recommended to do every 50,000 km when using conventional oil in the vehicle. We have only ever used synthetic oil, and when Finneron owned the dealership it was never done, Finneron also provided a service vehicle because we travelled up from Qualicum Beach. That was cut out as soon as it was sold. When I discussed my concerns about the "up sell" with the service advisor, I was told that's what I agreed to. Never mind what I had booked. We will not be dealng with Courtenay Hyundai in the future for service or purchase of a new vehicle. More

Jamie was very professional, knowledgeable, and accommodating. We went in there with a plan and he made it his mission to make it happen for us. Melissa was extremely thorough while going through different options for warranty and loan insurance. She made sure we were set up with the coverage that best suited our family. Corey was fantastic in the way that he walked us through the entire process of how he assessed the value of our trade in, as well as payment options for our new vehicle. He was very kind and very charismatic. Overall fantastic experience. This is the second vehicle we have purchased from CV Hyundai, and if we are still in the area when we're ready to upgrade again we will certainly be coming back. More
