Daughter bought a brand new 2018 Honda civic in June 2018, The air conditioner stops working and we get it looked at in July . Thinking that obviously it’s under warranty as the cars brand new, we take it in and they are charging over $300 to find out what’s wrong with it! Instead of suggesting it might’ve been a manufactures defect they pull out of their hat, that a rock must have hit the condenser, which of course is a rare thing and apparently that’s what happened! . The sales manager says it’s just like a rock hitting your windshield! Like Seriously??? A windshield is exposed and happens so often there are insurance policies for it! An air conditioner is under the car and should be protected from debris! So now we have to pay a diagnostic fee that should’ve been covered since air conditioning should be covered period!! It will also cost a $800 fee to fix it. We escalated to Honda Canada and it took them six weeks to get back to us ..so we spent the entire hot summer dying with no air conditioning because they were too busy with their lawn more’s and their dirt bikes! You would think somebody with no air conditioning in this hot summer would’ve been a priority. brutal Customer Service! More
Great brand but very bad dealership. As always, great sale services but service & after sales service are the worst. Bought 2 vehicles from this dealership. Second vehicle was a used Civi As always, great sale services but service & after sales service are the worst. Bought 2 vehicles from this dealership. Second vehicle was a used Civic Hybrid. Less than a year later, Hybrid battery was diagnosed as need replacing. Long story short, I had to sell this vehicle as junk due to absolutely no help or compassion from Clarington Honda. It's a shame as Honda is a great brand but this dealership has soured any future possibilities of buying another Honda. More
Rude employee just bought a brand new Honda Civic and its my first vehicle ever, WORST experience ever. Then a few days later They called me and says that I still o just bought a brand new Honda Civic and its my first vehicle ever, WORST experience ever. Then a few days later They called me and says that I still owe $500. They made my bill of sale wrong, and they decided they werent going to pay for their own mistake. So I went there to talk to the finance manager and He threatened to take my car away from me, and i would still continue to make payments on it for their own mistake. And he started yelling because I told him that it’s not my mistake More

The price was in the low end of the average selling price for that year/make/model (compared to other dealerships & used car shops) - i.e., it was a good deal. When we arrived to look at the used 2013 Dodge Journey, we were pleased to see that it was as described in the ad (which isn't always the case - sometimes the 'bait and switch' is used by unscrupulous sellers). I know, I've been there... We've looked around a lot and saw many vehicles. This isn't our first time buying a used vehicle either... Since we knew what we wanted and the price we wanted to pay, the rest was pretty easy. The staff was courteous and helpful. They walked us through the process without any high pressure sales tactics (to 'up sell' us). They made us aware of the 'extras' we could purchase, but weren't pushy. Overall, we were quite satisfied with the vehicle we bought and the sales experience. We'll definitely go back when we're looking for our next vehicle to see if they have it. I rated Clarington Honda a 4/5 on price because it was a good deal, but not the absolute cheapest available (private sales are usually cheaper - but then you generally take a greater chance on what you're getting). It was a really good deal for prices compared to other dealerships and used car lots. Check them out if you're looking to buy. I consider them reasonable, honest people. They type of people you'd like to have as friends. More
Disappointment! Terrible Customer Service! I bought a brand new 2016 Civic with this dealer. We dealt with Trevor Carew for part of the transaction. We could not figure out how he was able to get away with being so awful and ignorant towards his customers until we found out that his daddy owns the dealership... explains a lot!! If you are looking to be treated with respect as a valued customer, then find another dealership! More

Pdi, Canadian tire charges 7$, homedepot will give you one in a box, and I started phoning at 8:30 every half hr till 1:30 till the receptionist answered and said only one guy is in the power sports department, she then proceeded to give me attitude saying he was with a customer since 8:30, awful place More

Awful service, bait and switch Their service department is awful. Today was the second time that we took our vehicle in for a simple service and the service department pulled a bait Their service department is awful. Today was the second time that we took our vehicle in for a simple service and the service department pulled a bait and switch on us. Got us in for the winter deal and then did a more extensive service and then wanted us to pay for it. 129 turned into over 500 dollars! This is the second time they did this to us. We didn't want to pay for it but my husband was at work and couldn't keep arguing so they split the difference from the service we signed up for and the one that they decided to do without our permission. I will never use this dealership again to service my honda. A bunch of crooks. No complaints about purchasing my vehicle. They were great. But they need to fix their service department as it has soured me for buying from this dealership in the future. More
