The salesman found one for me so did not grind the price at all showed up at store for pick up and he had to leave right away and let the finance girl take care of me no one came out with me to walk around the truck. It was getting dark so missed some details anyway did the deal but found out a lots of missed details all and all with financing the truck was 39000 wich i tought it was a little much but if the truck is solid ang good i did not mind. Upon further inspection the truck seamed to being inlvolved in an accident, turned out to be a rig truck with the deco valve and 5000 iddle hrs vs 3000 running hrs, one key witch is not the maine one so can't change anything about my key system so I've being driving someone else truck setting for 2 -3years now.at purchase the tires where shot and was told it was pretty much illegal to sell truck like that so i change them and they told me the shock all needed to be replace, great so I inquired to the shop but was told straight up we are finance people not car people and i had to pay in order to deal with any of the issues. Anyway I payed 39000 for a 20000 truck and they dont care.pls avoid if you can More
Piece a crap dealership I bought my 2011 Lancer and went 40,000km's with the vehicle and upon one of my trips to do an oil change one of the guys at Mr.Lube informed me that I bought my 2011 Lancer and went 40,000km's with the vehicle and upon one of my trips to do an oil change one of the guys at Mr.Lube informed me that I had the wrong type of Transmission Fluid in my vehicle. I was also informed by the owner of Checkered Flag that he would not reimburse me for the trandy flush I had to get done and that it wasn't his mechanics responsibility to insure that the right type of transmission fluid is used. So now here I am ( October 2016 ) took my vehicle in for a routine inspection and asked them to go over the front end of the car cause I was feeling vibration. They told me that the struts I have were blown and through the information they told me it came to my realization that for the ( almost 2 years ) time I have owned it, I have been driving with no struts. The dealership said it would be a grand to replace. So I informed the boss at Checkered Flag and he basically told me that it really sucks to be me and that I will not be reinbursed for that . Stay away from this place at all costs. More
Posting In-correct information Inquired about a vehicle originating from USA. Asked the sales person to confirm if the odometer reading posted was in km or miles. Was told it was km Inquired about a vehicle originating from USA. Asked the sales person to confirm if the odometer reading posted was in km or miles. Was told it was km reading. Got there and it turns out the reading is in miles. What a waste of time. Not sure how they end up getting a triple A BBB rating. Maybe they are lying about that too. More
sketchy vehicles I was interested in a truck this dealership had for sale - 2012 ram 2500 power wagon. I went to the dealership for a look and potentially a purchase. I was interested in a truck this dealership had for sale - 2012 ram 2500 power wagon. I went to the dealership for a look and potentially a purchase. After looking at the truck it was very obvious to me that this truck had been repainted and much of the body was missing key items such as the rear body wheel flares , the factory stickers down only one side of the body , the 4x4 sticker was missing on one side , factory stickers along rear tailgate missing . The painted side of the body ( the one missing all the stickers ) showed runs and dirt in the paint. The whole truck showed quite poorly as the headlights had rock guard spray on them so did the front grill. The bumpers were not aligned correctly and the bumper pad was peeling off on the rear bumper. It seems odd that both bumpers had not a mark on them but the body had so many scratches and nicks and swirls in the paint which to me tells me these bumpers are new . I wrote the vin number down and did a vin search through carproof and the registries. It showed that no accidents had been reported. I went further and did some digging into this dealership and have seen other customers have complained about buying these types of vehicles from Checkered . Many complaints on this forum, but also many on their Better Business Bureau report stating that this selling of accident vehicles is common of them . I will NOT purchase this truck from them or any other after my research . I would advise everyone do their research before they consider a purchase with Checkered Auto Sales. More

He had Just recently I was trying to sell my truck and was contacted by someone named Jay . He said he was the buyer / part owner of this dealership. He had offered me my asking price in full and asked me to bring it in at a certain time . When I brought it in I was told Jay was not in , I was greeted by a guy named Ty . He said he could help me out . He looked at my truck and it was discussed between us that the truck was mint in both of our eyes. He then proceeded to pull out papers discussing what it would cost to ship to the states and what it would make down there and what kind of profit they expected. He then hit me $2000 below what Jay said he was going to pay me . Now I feel that maybe this Jay was there and they played a good cop bad cop deal on me . I was not fond of this game in any way and it wasted my time and one of my employees time . I live out of town so this whole game took four hours of my day . They advertise " sell us your car " but will scam you once you show up . Being a business owner myself I would never deal with Checkered flag auto or refer anyone to them . Their guys Ty and Jay are scammers and I left there feeling that they do this on a regular basis. More

They've done everything they said they'd do and I'm actually quit impressed in the since that most used car dealers that approves everyone are usually very shady to deal with. My vehicle had issues the third week i owned it, usually because it's sold and signed "as is" dealers ussuly say its your responsibility once you drive it off the lot. They didn't and they fixed my vehicle for me when legally they didn't need too. So thanks guys like REALLY. Thank you! No one wants to spend $15000 just to sink more in the next couple weeks. I'm glad there understood my situation. The people at checkered flag are very nice, very happy environment, and will go out of there way to help there customers. So thanks again guys and I'll recommend ya's if Ever asked. Tom More
Bad customer service, bad oil patch trucks. My wife was "approved" at this dealership but was not contacted, she had to phone them for over a week before someone finally spoke to her. The truck My wife was "approved" at this dealership but was not contacted, she had to phone them for over a week before someone finally spoke to her. The truck that she wanted was a crew cab Ford but when she went there to look at it it turned out to be "sold". They showed her other trucks but nothing like the one she wanted. When I came down to look over the trucks that they had pointed out to her I laughed in their faces, all the trucks were white GM's that screamed OIL PATCH, some even had rubber floors. What a joke, when I told them that we weren't interested in any of the junk trucks that they tried to pass off on us the woman that we were dealing with, Marty, got snarky and told us to go somewhere else. When I got home I was still angry and decided to call and talk to the owner of the dealership about the attitude that this "lady" gave us, well I called and asked to speak to the owner and some girl said that Tyler wasn't available, so I left a message. Two days went by and no one called so I called again, same story, Tyler was busy but leave us your name and he will call you back. I repeated my story, left my name and as of last Monday no call back. I spoke to amvic regarding their practices and policies, when my wife asked them not to run her credit until she was absolutely sure she wanted the truck that she had picked Marty said "sure", well it turns out that they ran her credit anyways, we're now talking to the credit reporting agency and filing a complaint with them as well. I wouldn't recommend this dealership to anybody, they are liars, they have poor customer service and treat you like dirt unless you buy from them, in short, they are the typical used car lot staffed with typical used car salespeople. I won't get into their trucks, that's something entirely different. More

I called in for an appointment to look at some cars, and the guy on the phone was super helpful and found me some options in my budget. When I came in too look at one they had it ready to drive, and fell in love with the car. Since then I've been in touch with them about some issues, and they went out of their way to make sure I was happy, even though I was a cash buyer. More

In April my engine check light came on, so I took it back to them. The mechanic said he would look at it but I need to make an appt. The appt. date was set for May 14th, he kept the car until the next day along with my warranty papers. When I went back to pick it up he said the turbocharger has to be replaced and my warranty will cover it. He said he will need to keep all my warranty papers and he will call me when they parts arrive, however its another mechanic will be working on my car. A month passed and he didn't call, so I called him and he assured me the parts will arrive the next day. He also gave me the contacts for the referral mechanic. The following day when I called the next mechanic I shocked to find out he knows nothing about my car and the parts where not ordered. And the icing on the cake was, this checker mechanic lost all my warranty papers. I would never in a million years recommend them to anyone... More
