Not Impressed - An Honest Review I moved to Calgary recently and was looking for a Subaru dealer for our car. This dealer was close to our place, so it seemed like a good choice. After several service experiences there, I can definitively conclude this dealership is terrible. Based on my experiences, avoid them and go to Calgary Subaru. The dealer that we used in our previous city was great and set the bar very high in all aspects, especially customer service. The first thing I noticed at Centaur Subaru on the initial visit was that I was ignored. I had to stand at the service desk waiting for the people behind the counter to break free from their gossip session to attend to me the customer. It wasn't even near their coffee break time. I wanted to give them another chance or two, and on the follow up services I again had similar experiences. I got the general impression that they don't really care about the customer. Perhaps those who continue to go there do not have a real sense of what customer service should be like at a good dealership. Based on how I have been treated consistently, one would think this was the only Subaru dealer in the city, so they didn't have to care. Thankfully there is another option! I gave Calgary Subaru a chance, to see if this lack of customer service was somehow common to all Calgary dealerships. I am happy to report that the issues are isolated to Centuar Subaru, as my experiences have been completely different. The service staff at Calgary Subaru are friendly, and don't keep me waiting. I have had more people here say hello to me in a single visit than in all my previous visits to Centaur Subaru. I feel welcome and satisfied, and will happily continue to come back. As an added bonus, the Calgary Subaru dealership is clean and inviting, which is another testament to the customer experience. I love my Subaru vehicle, and expect to continue to own this brand for many years to come. If Centaur Subaru had just took the time to care about the customer, they would have had my continued business both for service and, eventually, a new vehicle. Maybe one day they will learn, but it is too late in this case; I am done with them. More

I had been to a few dealerships in town, including the other Subaru location, and felt like I had a sign on my forehead that said "I'm a woman, I can't possibly know anything about cars and therefore really I'm easy to wheel and deal". Walking in to Centaur Subaru I was expecting to be greeted by yet another pushy salesmen and was shocked that this wasn't the case at Centaur Subaru. Instead I was greeted by Daniel Jonas, a down-to-earth normal guy looking to genuinely help me buy the right car for me. Daniel listened to what I was looking for in a new vehicle and found me the perfect match at the perfect price. At no time was he pushy, he was always reasonable, extremely accommodating and helpful even after I drove off the lot in my new Outback. If you're looking for a new car and want a positive experience, go have a chat with Daniel Jonas at Centaur Subaru. More

The place was SUPER busy (it was a Saturday) but we were attended to right away. We decided to test drive the Crosstrek XV. It was love at first drive! We came back and started the purchasing process, and had our amazing new Subaru by TUESDAY! Peter and Rob took great care of us. We can't recommend it enough! More
Horrible Customer Service Starting from the time we purchased our new Subaru to the time we picked it up, the service was bad and it has only gotten worse with the service cent Starting from the time we purchased our new Subaru to the time we picked it up, the service was bad and it has only gotten worse with the service center. Salesman was condescending and played every sales game in the book. They tried to get us to take delivery of the vehicle before all the accessories were installed to make their month-end quota (and lied about it). The service department has to be reminded every appointment that it is turbocharged so is therefore on a different service schedule. Their shuttle service is completely inept and can't be counted on at any time. Not impressed. Love the car, hate the dealership. More

Being new to Calgary, my daughter suggested we try Centaur Subaru This spring my wife and I decided that the time was right to purchase a new vehicle. Being new to Calgary, my daughter suggested we try Centaur Subaru where she and her husband had bought a Subaru Forester a few years earlier. Entering the dealership, Tony Pusch, a sales representative, took us under his wing and showed us several vehicles. Eventually, after several test drives we landed on a XV Crosstrek. During this whole time, Tony was courteous, friendly and very helpful in answering all our questions. John Leacock, a finance manager was equally friendly and helpful in making the whole process of financing and explaining the paperwork easy to understand and do. Both Tony and John returned calls in a timely fashion. When the day came to pick up the car, again both John and Tony took the time to review all the paperwork and run us through all the features of the car. Both my wife and I highly recommend anyone looking for a dealership where you'll find friendly, courteous and knowledgeable service to check out Centaur Subaru! More
Buyer beware - I have purchased 4 new vehicles in the past 5 years and this is by far the worst dealership I have ever seen. Sales guy flat out lied about car delivery date and then reason for delays. Wa past 5 years and this is by far the worst dealership I have ever seen. Sales guy flat out lied about car delivery date and then reason for delays. Waited 2 months without a vehicle. Then once the vehicle showed up they sold me a "complete" 3M package that ended up only covering the hood (which i didn't notice until the first time I washed the car). Then when the vehicle needed service, and they finally got me in, it took them three days to "troubleshoot" a problem of which they ended up not having a fix for. The worst part about it all is that not one person there really cared about any of it. I find their attitude to be "we are busy enough that we don't need your business". Would not recommend this dealership to my worst enemy. More

The first time we went in to the deaship was because the gauges went crazy. at the days end, I payed my bill and picked up my car. Nothing was done. I went back and they wanted me to reschedule. I informed them that this was a crock of doo doo and that I would be back the next day and I had to be scheduled in because they wasted enough of my time. Today I am scheduled for a larger service. I was told it will likly be over $500.00 to get this done. he is telling me what its going to cost before they even look at it. Knd of scary... clearly Subaru needs to put another dealer in here to keep these clowns honest. I have never been treated like a convict at a dealship before. these guys are not at all a happy bunch. Like Subaru. AWD is a great feature in Calgary. Great resale. Went to this tiny dealership. Certainly not a modern facility. Not the kind of place I would expect modern service equipment. Wen resale. Sales guy was nice and polite and helpful until we sat down to discuss price and features. If I fix the chips in the hood, do we have a deal? If I throw in a paint stick, do we have a deal? If I have the window tinted, do we have a deal? If I knock off 200$, do we have a deal? etcetera etcetera etcetera.... Guy sounded like a broken record. I asking him to find out what he could throw in features and what his manager could do in terms price. He didn't want to answer any of my questions, just wanted my signature and credit card. I was ready to buy. I walked out of there annoyed. Ultimately decided 50mpg Honda instead of a 25mpg Subaru. Will grab some snow tires. Aggressive and annoying sales pitch. Heads up. More
