I was having issues with the eye sight system on my 2025 Crosstrek. I had the windshield replaced with a non-OEM windshield a month after I bought the vehicle and the eye sight system stopped working 9 mont Crosstrek. I had the windshield replaced with a non-OEM windshield a month after I bought the vehicle and the eye sight system stopped working 9 months after the repair. I brought it back to the Subaru dealership where I bought it from to get it fixed. They said it was because of the non OEM windshield and recommended that we take it out and replace with OEM windshield and if that didn’t work then the camera would need replacing. I asked if they tried recalibrating the camera and they said yes. I asked if it would be under warranty and they said no, because repairs were done outside of the dealer and with aftermarket parts. He told me to try calling Subaru Canada to file a complaint. I obviously wasn’t happy with their decision as if I proceeded with their recommendation, it would have costed me thousands of dollars. As a result, I decided to get a second opinion from Centaur Subaru and spoke to Kevin Gabriel. I even brought my work order with me to show him what the other dealer did and recommended. Kevin said they will just start the diagnosis from fresh. Their technician scanned and detected camera was not calibrated. He recalibrated the camera and eye sight system started working again! Amazing how Centaur service actually took the time to properly diagnose and fix the problem. Kudos to Kevin for listening and for the great service! I would definitely recommend Centaur to everyone! I had an outstanding experience with the service department at Centaur Subaru! From my first phone call to picking up my vehicle, the entire process was seamless, quick, and stress-free. Every service advisor I spoke with was fantastic — friendly, polite, professional, respectful, and truly committed to providing excellent customer service. After I explained the issue, the team quickly performed the battery diagnostics, confirmed the battery needed replacement, and had it replaced right away. Since the battery was still under warranty, they handled everything without any hassle or unnecessary back-and-forth, which I really appreciated. On the day of my appointment, I requested if I could add an oil change and routine maintenance service, and the team was able to accommodate it immediately. I received both a phone call and a text message letting me know my vehicle was ready for pickup. Another thing that really stood out was the follow-up phone call I received the next day to make sure everything was working properly and to see if I had any questions. That extra step meant a great deal to me and truly demonstrated their commitment to customer care and satisfaction. What could have been a frustrating experience turned into an incredibly positive one thanks to this amazing team.
