Dear Mr Alasadi Thank you for your message and concerns. I bought a car a Dodge Journey over a year ago, Around July 2016 and have spent the first 8 weeks backwards and forwards to multiple service departments. The problem was intermittent rusty leak under the car of unknown origin that happens when we get rain! Initially this was blamed on power steering hence they replaced the power steering pump hoses however this did not stop the problem. Every Time I took the car after a massive leak to the service department, I got sent home with no answer on what is causing the leaks more importantly no solution offered on how to prevent the rusty leak that annihilated my drive (pictures available upon request). After I had given up on getting anywhere with the Burlington service department I took the car to “Unique Chrysler”. The mechanic who worked on the car mentioned to “someone” that the problem was a battery leak, that lead to battery tray rust which then leaked everytime water entered the compartment from the rain. However this was not mentioned to me in person nor in the report that was given to me. Instead I was told that it is the AC drain water picks up rust from the exhaust hence the rusty looking leak. Yet again no option given on how to prevent this from happening. Using the information above I went back to Car Nation Direct burlington service department, purely because the car was still under warranty, to ask them to check the battery and the tray. Not surprisingly, it turns out that the problem was a leaky battery and as a result a rusty tray. Allegedly both were sorted out finally thanks to my hard work and not the service department. Amar the service manager was not or tried not to get involved in the whole process, I expected at least the courtesy of apologising for what I had gone through. After that it wasn’t till beginning of Fall when we had some rain, that I noticed the same problem started again. Another drive annihilated by a car that was supposedly fixed by the dealer. Now that I moved to Milton, I took the car to Milton Chrysler, only to be told that the battery is leaking and Car Nation Burlington had confirmed to them that the battery was not replaced when I last took it to them. This obviously annoyed me, as I thought the battery, given it was the source of the leak, was replaced when I last took it to Car Nation Direct Burlington. I left few messages for Amar to contact me back as I really wanted to know why the battery was not replaced given it was the source of the problem. Amar, who failed to contact me back despite getting numerous requests so I went in person to see him without an appointment given he is not getting back to me. Only to be faced with a person who is waving a paper in my face at reception telling me that the battery was not faulty at the time without even looking at the whole case. Had he being involved in the case he would clearly know that since I bought the car the problem only happened when it rained. I tried to talk sense into him, but he would not even listen and it did get to a stage where he asked me to leave the shop. Mike Pinto, who knows the story right from the beginning, witnessed the whole ordeal and hats off to him, in the service department he was the only person who was sincere about trying to help me with this problem initially when everyone else in the service department gave up on me. I am a manager and a Doctor myself, and I know very well that there is an etiquette of dealing with customers, something that is hugely lacking at Car Nation Direct General Manager and the Service Manager. If Mr Paletta was too busy to answer my initial e-mails he should have allocated someone to deal with the problem. Also given Amar was incompetent in dealing with my problem he should have escalated the issue to a higher person instead of blanking me out completely. All I was after is a bit of courtesy, as a physician money is not issue and my time is too precious to waste on a people who were disrespectful to me, however I will assure you that I will never mention Car Nation Direct in good at all, would never recommend it to any family, friends or acquaintances and will ensure to share my story all over social media. The one piece of advice I have to Car Nation is to provide basic Customer Relation training to their employees starting from the TOP.
