What the salesman didn't tell me was that if you don't do all the scheduled maintenance ie; change the fluids etc. when the program suggests you forfeit the oil changes. My personal mechanic can do all the scheduled maintenance for about 30 per cent less than what this dealership does it for. Of course when you mention this to the powers that be they just look at you and say"Didn't you read the agreement?" Why would you trust a salesman? It's an easy thing to explain to someone when you're selling the product... pretty simple in my opinion. This is a money grab. So Buyer beware. So to date I've paid just over $500.00 for 4 oil changes. If this review stops at least one other person from buying into a Toyota oil change program or one of their vehicles then I'll be OK with having spent that money. Even the service tech who took in my vehicle for what will be its last oil change shook his head in agreement. Too bad I have to give it one star, there's no option for none. More

After dealing with him, there was no way we were going to give Canyon Creek Toyota the time of day, never mind our business. Felt sorry for the sales guy. More

You will easily wait 1hour (with prior appointment) for anyone to acknowledge that you are there waiting for their service as well as have to pay extra for their services although you have a warranty on a brand new vehicle, that shouldnt need to be in service. Take your business somewhere else where it is valued because it definitely isnt at Canyon Creek. More

Bite and switch tactics I saw Canyon Creeks Toyota sales add for a used Toyota Highlander Sport 2010 on their dealership website On September 24. 2014. SUV was listed there I saw Canyon Creeks Toyota sales add for a used Toyota Highlander Sport 2010 on their dealership website On September 24. 2014. SUV was listed there for $27,170. I exchanged few emails with the sales person asking for details about the SUV including a Carproof report. Sales person provided me with additional information including Carproof report. That same day I decided to go to the dealership to test drive the Highlander and possibly make an offer. Test drive went fine, sales person was not pushy. As I liked the SUV, after the test drive we walked into his office to discuss the possible offer on the 2010 Toyota Highlander Sport. After discussion and checking back and forth with the used car dealership manager we came to an agreement that I would trade my used 2003 Toyota Highlander plus pay $19750 in cash for their 2010 Highlander. Sales person went two/tree times to the sales manager who accepted this offer. All they had to do is apprise my own SUV which we agree that they will do the next day (September 25. 2014). I signed the prearrangement sales offer which they accepted and left $1000 deposit. On September 25, around noon, I came with my own 2003 Toyota Highlander so that they could appraise it. After they inspected and test drove the car they agreed that the trade in value which they offered for my car the previous day was fine. HOWEVER!!! After sales person confidential chat with sales manager (25 minutes long), sales person came back to me telling me that the cost of the used car that I would like to buy is now around $2500 more than what we have agreed yesterday in writing!!!?!?! At this point I was just shocked to realise what is happening.....we had everything in writing and both parties agreed with offer, I left deposit and just one day later they are playing these games with me. According to sales person story, sales manager from previous day omitted to include $3612 of work which the dealership has invested into reconditioning of 2010 Highlander. However today's sale manager who was more senior decided that the written agreement from previous day is not valid anymore!? I hardly could believe what was happening, seriously how can they call them self a professional business if they are trying to pull these kind of scams!? In the end they returned my $1000 deposit. I walked out with bitter experience realising that they just wasted my time and effort without compensating me for anything. I bet if this was other-ways around (me trying to walk out of the pre-agreed deal) they would not be returning my deposit. What a shame!!! If you consider buying used cars, do not go to Canyon Creek Toyota in Calgary as they will try to screw you up with shady business tactics. Based on my personal experience, I do not recommend this car dealership at all. BE WARNED AND AWARE!!! More

The first day we visited and after a lengthy delay in getting the attention of the sales staff, we were shown a 2104 RAV4 demo and were told the $35k price was "negotiable". We made an appointment to come by the next day with our current vehicle and take the RAV4 for a test drive. Upon arrival we were informed that the $37k price was indeed negotiable..it had magically gone up by $2000 overnight. The salesperson admitted forgetting the earlier price. With the test drive complete we decided to make an offer. The salesperson asked for a credit card(?) which was retained and invited us to wait in the lounge for about 15 minutes. 45 minutes later the sales manager showed up and without introducing himself and forgetting our first name, ushered us into a nearby office. First he said he could not accept our trade. We asked why. After a few more attempts he stated that the trade in value he had was about 10% of what we wanted and that cars like our 2004 model were "too old".We noted that identical cars were listed on line for much higher prices. Speaking of higher prices he also announced that the price of the RAV4 was actually $39k...$4k higher than what his salesperson quoted for a demo with 800 kms. Apparently it was a different model. At this point we had had enough and got up to leave. I will add that the sales manager's attitude was arrogant and rude. I would never recommend this dealership. We thanked the salesperson who was polite but clearly in need of better product knowledge. It was a waste of a morning. I had to ask the sales manager for my credit card back which was in his shirt pocket....completely unprofessional. We were also asked if we could make the monthly payments...the credit card we provided could have been used to buy the car outright, that was our plan. More
