We had a great experience with Jake, from the moment my husband and I walked into their branch, he was accommodating, asked what we need and showed us the perfect car for our need. We bought the car that night with a big smile on our face, all thanks to his exceptional salesman's dedication and expertise. We've been using the Acura RDX for 2 weeks now and we are happy. I went there for service of my RDX 2019. I have bought an extended warranty for the car, from Acura advantage Plus for the cost of 4,500$ +tx. Which i tough they should be familiar with. I had to explain what the extended warranty is to a service employee. I had a faulty radar (the SUV only has 60,000km and already needs a new radar! Go figure!) The work order should’ve been done within 2 days (they needed the piece delivered) and they had the car for over a week. They did not give me a loaner car (which is included in my extended warranty). Alek , the service guy, did not try and help me accordingly. All he kept telling me is we cant release your car until the bill is paid in full. Which is understandable, but he had already gotten the approval of payment from Acura Advantage Plus. They had confirmed the payment would be done and a check would be received within 30-45 days. He refused and asked for a payment right away. Which then he required my presence to go threw the paperwork. I showed up there around 3:30pm and for 1:30 hour he was not able to get anyone from the extended warranty department to answer the call for the payment. I just wanted to pay my portion and leave with my car, They tried to make me pay the insurance portion of the bill if i wanted my car back! Even tho they had a written approved payment from they’re sister company! I am not able to pay for 3,000$ worth of repairs, as i already have to pay 1,000$ for my portion of the bill. My portion includes: oil change, brake fluid change and the radar calibration. Which totals: 1,000$ plus the Acura Advantage Plus portion would be a total of 3,000$ to be paid. (Just to make this worst! Acura Advantage Plus had agreed to replace the radar and pay for the labour but refused to calibrate it?! I have to pay 500$ to calibrate the piece that is covered? Does that make any sense to anyone??? But again i agreed to pay the extra 500$ as i had no choice in the matter). I have never had this issue with Lexus dealership. I am very upset that i chose Acura over Lexus. I am now without a car for over a week and no help from anyone from the dealership. Please avoid Camco Acura Service department for your own sake! And make sure they dont keep your car hostage like they’re doing with me ! Extremely bad service save yourself a headache! Btw they still have my car !!! Day 9 today!! More
Worst Service I have ever received in a car. Wait times for me since I've purchased my car in 2021 are always 3-4 hours just for an oil change or tires change. Pretty pathetic huh! I called the day prior to my appointment to reconfirm my appointment, I got told it was at 8:30am which I was here ahead of time to only get advised it's actually only at 10am. Like what the xxxx?! No one calls you back from service when you leave a message. I had requested with my oil change and brake fluids service to get my wipers changed to only get advised during my appointment that they don't have any and they'd have to order some... I booked my appointment over 2 weeks ago. This is unacceptable. I also don't live in town (I'm 40 mins away) and Ottawa only has one Acura dealership...I love my Acura A-Spec but xxxx improve in your service for your customers! More
Horrible service department. Sales was the only one who gave a good experience. Over 7 years with them and the last 2 years went downhill with the service department. . When you leave a message no one calls you back. Worse ever service department I have ever experienced. Too bad there is only one dealer in Ottawa. Next year I hope to sell my Acura and never purchase Acura again. More
just bought a new 2024 MDX with Joe. He was excellent! Was such a positive buying experience! When we picked it up he took the time to go over everything and explain. Would recommend Camco Acura and Joe to everyone for a stress free buying experience! Never once felt pressured to buy or be upsold on anything! More
I needed some service for our 2017 MDX which required having the vehicle towed to the dealership. After some initial mixed communication with the service department and longer than anticipated wait for r having the vehicle towed to the dealership. After some initial mixed communication with the service department and longer than anticipated wait for return of calls the Service Manager James took control of the situation and got everything on track. The service was provided promptly and I received updates from James. I appreciate that at a busy Service department things can get overlooked. James kept me updated until all the issues were resolved. I must say I appreciated his professionalism and the speed in which he resolved the situation. I look forward to dealing with him in the future. More
