Picked up our new 2013 Passat TDI yesterday (Nov 25, 2013) and can not express enough the great sales experience that we received at Bramgate VW. We visited a few dealerships trying to get the best value for our trade in and also trying to take advantage of the year end clearance sale discounts. We found the process very upsetting as dealerships diver from one another. Some wanted to charge for Etching, nitrogen in tires, etc. which is not want we wanted to deal with and also dealing with trade in allowances. All dealerships are not equal and in fact some are outright upsetting as to what they want to give you for your car. Also these after market products are illegal to enforce according to the Consumer Protection Agency and as a consumer we are responsible for only the MSRP, delivery, and any applicable taxes. Chris Fernandez our sales consultant put us at ease and said their dealership does not force aftermarket products and then worked on a deal that was exciting to our pocket book. He was very courteous, upfront and was motivated to put a deal together for us that worked well in our favour. To be fair to Chris I told him upfront that I use to sell cars for a Chrysler dealership before and that I was sensitive to the selling of autos and its practises. Chris was very professional and straightforward to us and the payoff was a sale for him and a new Passat for us. Never did we feel intimidated or in lack of information to help us with the sale. Thanks Chris for being such a professional sales consultant at Bramgate VW. In closing just a quick remark that was half jokingly said to my wife when we were picking up the car. I said to her that when I retire from the construction business I might want to sell cars again and if that was ever to come to bear, I would of all the dealerships we visited be happy to work sell at Bramgate VW. Chris was not deceptive in his efforts to make the sale. He presented the features of the vehicles and allowed the customer to talior the vehicle to their needs.
