The service is very punctual which is important to me. I work on the opposite side of town and a loaner car for the day is also important and getting a car for the day was appreciated. I have never been that humiliated and discriminated against before. But as I was later told by Mr. Tuck, it is because of my appearance: - "I did not look as the Lexus is the car that I can afford". Some time ago, I told Young Zhou in sales what we were looking for but never heard back until I found something we liked on their lot. Well, I came to dealership to purchase it but Mr. Young and Mr. Tuck shown me towards the door. It is unheard of but this hate is understandable. I am Ukrainian and Mr. Young is appears to support Russian invasion to Ukraine. Surprisingly, such discriminative approach was endorsed by Birchwood’s D’Arcy MacLean, Vice-President of operations and their owner, Mr. Chipman. To add to this, they even refused to service and diagnostic Lexus product purchased elsewhere. I guess they like to exercise this power being the only one Lexus dealer in Winnipeg. I spoke with Lexus Canada and they said that Birchwood Lexus is a private business and they can pick and choose and discriminate anyone at their discretion. P.S. On positive note, thank you to Eric Barker from sales, the probably only decent person in this dealership for telling me that good used cars do not make it to the Birchwood Lexus used lot. They all pre-sold. Apparently used RX350 they have for sale and I was interested in have undisclosed issues with freezing door locks and this is not something I want to deal in the cold winter. More
