Hello, Please be aware this purchase spanned several days. So there was no rush; there is never a rush at Best Rate Auto Sales where we open 7 days a week. The vehicle referred to was indeed test driven. Although we have a wide selection of cars, minivans, pickup trucks and SUVs, one can understand that when a person is on a tight budget the selection is somewhat more limited. If you care to explain any type of pressure that you perceived please, we will gladly discuss your concerns? We are unaware of any pressure anyone could force upon you at our dealership? Our sales staff treats everyone equally and we are happy only when you are. So please let us know if there is something within our ability that we can do to improve your satisfaction. Please call Matt or Darnell directly at 519-974-9377 any day or time which is convenient for you....

Hi, We are sorry you had a bad experience with our dealership. We were happy to do a price match on the vehicle for you. We also offered you the opportunity to purchase an extended warranty at your time of purchase. Upon delivery of the vehicle you were given a copy of the warranty provided by Best Rate including what was and was not covered. We did however go above what was covered in the warranty to complete repairs on your vehicle. We also provided you with a loaner vehicle well yours was in for service, which is against our policy and clearly stated in our warranty. Our vehicle are safttied through a 3rd party garage that is licensed by the MTO. We do not have our own service garage. We do our best to recondition our vehicles, but they are used vehicle and we do not always catch every issue. Unfortunately Gus Revenbergs is also a sales organization and it is there best interest to have you purchase another vehicle from them as well. We would have been happy to help you trade in the vehicle, had you given us the opportunity.

Yes we were given the opportunity to purchase an extended warranty, I'll give you that. We chose not to, not expecting the vehicle to immediately need 4000.00 + in repairs in the first 2 months, with half of that amount being in the first 2 weeks. I do not see how you went above what was covered in the warranty since it was GM that paid for the blend door to be replaced as it is something faulty with those vehicles, and Revenberg who covered cost of replacing coolant hoses since it was a result of original repair. With lack of heat and defrost it should never have passed safety in the first place but since we do not have a copy of safety we can not follow up with the MTO. We also were not given a copy of warranty, all we received was a copy of loan documents and a bunch of business cards in an envelope. The condition of the vehicle was deplorable. The mechanics at Gus Revenberg were shocked by what they found and had said they had never seen these conditions before and said the corrosion was so bad it looked as if it had been in a flood. They themselves called Best rate and asked that the manager come and see it. Of course, no one was available. We could not bring the vehicle to you because at this point it was not driveable. We brought it to Revenberg because that's where the repairs were done and its 3 blocks away from us. For us to drive it to you, then you drive it to Revenberg, what was the point, it wouldn't have made it that far. Some of the things happening at this point? Alarm going off every few minutes, all dash lights flashing every 10 seconds, fog lights would not shut off and battery died as a result. Bought a battery for $170 just to get it to the mechanic. Mechanic looks into it and finds that the fuse, fusebox and all wiring related to headlamp relay were completely corroded and melted. Could it be fixed? Well with a price tag of over a $1000 it might be possible IF they could find the part because it had been discontinued... Would your extended warranty have covered that? Because according to your General Manager it would not have been covered. They also found that the shifter housing was completely corroded. Huge hole. Bolts had fallen apart and they were also very corroded. They took photos of everything, we did as well because it was absolutely unbelievable. As for you offering to trade it in? We were told it would have to be appraised first and we would be allowed the value towards a trade in. Really? Because it lost that much value in two months? After that offer we actually looked at your site to see what you had available, but would we run into the same issues? Not to mention when we first bought the vehicle we said we wanted the driver door fixed and were told no problem. After the papers were signed we were told no because you had met us 1/2 way (not fully) on a price match. We wanted the foggy headlight fixed (which is considered a safety issue) and you had holes drilled in it... twice! It did not clear up the problem so you said there was nothing you could do. It should have been replaced. Adding holes just caused more condensation to develop. We tried calling when the electrical issues presented themselves but our call was just sent around the office to different people, no one really willing to help. We understand that this is a used vehicle and possibly one bought at an auction and yes, you say you do your best to recondition the vehicles you sell... this one should never have been for sale. We just spent 9000.00 to drive a vehicle for less than 60 days. Yes we feel ripped off. We get that Gus Revenberg is also a sales organization in the business of selling cars BUT they are also in the business of customer satisfaction. You say you are "for the people" but they really ARE for the people. With what they have done for us they have customers for life as well as us spreading the word about their customer service. When people mention Best Rate to us... well... if only we had seen the article in the Windsor Star prior to purchasing from you. Now we are telling people to check with Omvic before they purchase from any car lot. This was a very expensive lesson to learn.
