My wife and I had been shopping around for a newer used car that would fit in our budget. Personally I have never been one for car lots as I have not had met a lot of salesmen that I didn't find pushy or t car that would fit in our budget. Personally I have never been one for car lots as I have not had met a lot of salesmen that I didn't find pushy or that seemed in a hurry to make a sale. We had visited at least 8 car lots between Windsor to Leamington. Cathy came in from work one day and said she spoke with someone on the phone after seeing a roadside sign on Tecumseh Rd. and made an appt. to see a Chrysler 300, which is the car my wife and I had been searching for. When we arrived at the lot they only had one 300 left and it was an 8 cylinder. We explained that we were looking for a 6 cylinder and the salesman Louis suggested that we go for a test drive to make sure that the 300 had the smooth ride that we hoped it would, which just convinced my wife that the 300 was the car she had hoped it would be, the whole time we were test driving the car there was not one question or concern we had that Louis didn't answer. But the whole test drive even when we got back to the lot, not once did we feel pressured all our concerns were put to rest and we both felt like we were just shooting the breeze with an old friend. Not only was the experience informative, on a personal level it was very nice to feel comfortable when we got back to the office sat down and went through exactly what my wife wanted on the car right down to the colour. There was not a 300 on the lot that we were interested in, so Louis asked us if we could give them a couple of days and he would call us a soon as he could find what we were looking for. After meeting the people there the wife and I agreed we could give them a couple of days. Sure enough a few days later we got a call saying not only did they find exactly what we were looking for but it was even nicer then we had expected right down to the colour. Now the kicker here that really helped and pleased us ( made our day) We were supposed to pick up the car on Friday but had a death in the family and the funeral was on the same Friday.I had spoken with Louis on Thursday about shampooing or something and when he heard about the funeral he gave us his and their condolences and later that day called us and let us know we could come down and pick up the car, a full day early, any company that cares that much about it's customers has my appreciation and loyalty, because of this experience I'll be back when it's time for another car purchase. Thank You for making this purchase a pleasant one. John Raymond. More

We were looking for our son's first car. We had to look at night because of work so we found a lot of used car lots not to be very well lit but this dealer caught our eye one night. Not only was it w look at night because of work so we found a lot of used car lots not to be very well lit but this dealer caught our eye one night. Not only was it well lit up but "all" their vehicles were shiny and clean. They looked like new cars. We met a gentleman named Louis. He was great! Very friendly, courteous and accomodating. Even our 16 year old son was impressed. Everyone in the office was friendly and helpful as well. Darnell did a great job upon delivery. We would recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a used car. They work with you on pricing as well as financing if needed and definately had the most impressive inventory in the city of Windsor for used vehicles. Believe me we checked! Louis we trust that you will take care of our son's future car needs and that alone is a comforting feeling. Thanks so much. The K's. More
We went to Best Rate Auto looking for a used car to get us from point A to point B, something around 3,000. When we were approached by a salesman he gave us the spiel that if we spend more, we'll have less us from point A to point B, something around 3,000. When we were approached by a salesman he gave us the spiel that if we spend more, we'll have less problems and have an overall better experience. We decided to agree and started looking into cars that were out of original price range but hoping that in the long run it would be more beneficial. We liked the SUV style/look and decided on a 2006 Equinox. Right away we noticed some issues but overall they weren't too concerning; there was a knocking sound when opening the drivers door and there was some condensation in the front lights. But we liked it, and went for a test drive. 5 minutes later we realize the vehicle had no gas, and we had to return to the dealership and didn't really get a chance to fully test everything but overall it looked good and we decided to go for it. Due to price matching the vehicle as they advertised on the website they refused to fix the door issue but we decided it was something we could live with. They said they would fix the fogginess of the lights by drilling holes. If it wasn't fixed within a week, to call them and they would fix it. A week later the cloudiness in the lights hadn't been fixed, we went back, they said whatever they did should fix it again. It was never fixed. We purchased the vehicle in September and since it was still warm hadn't even thought of trying the heat, and couldn't during the test drive because they had put next to no gas in the vehicle (even though we had an appointment to test drive it). As it got colder and we obviously had to put on the heat, we quickly realized the heat did not work despite passing a safety. It was still within warranty so they sent it off to be fixed. We soon noticed there was some leaking afterwards, but it was out of the 30 day warranty. However it was discovered the leaking was a result of the heating fix and it was repaired with no charge to us. Soon after that, we were having problems with the car alarm. It would go off for no reason. One night it went off 5-6 times within the span of 2 hours. We assumed it was the keylock/security system. The night after my husband was stranded at work. Earlier that day a fellow employee had mentioned that the fog lights were still on. He turned them off, of course. That night when he went to go home the car would not start, lights were flashing left and right and the battery was dead. Something had been draining the battery, assumedly something in the electrical was the cause. He had to be picked up, and the vehicle was left over night. The next day we purchased a new battery to replace the old, but we were still encountering issues with the dash lights flashing every 5 seconds. The fog lights would stay on, even after the vehicle had been locked/completely turned off. We called Best Rate about this issue and received next to no help. The sales person who sold us the vehicle didn't seem at all concerned and we were quickly transferred/put on hold at least 2 or 3 times before we spoke with Mandy. She was VERY helpful. However she was the only one that would even listen to us. The manager was next to no help, saying it was out of warranty and they had put too much money into the vehicle to pay for anything else - however they would give us a free diagnosis and "his price". From the time of purchase to now, it had already been in the shop twice and we were given loaners (which was still an inconvenience to allow us a loan car). We only had it for 2 months, and out of those two months we had loaner cars for 2-3 weeks. We had enough with Best Rate, their unhelpful nature and all the inconvenience we had been forced to deal with. This time, we dealt directly with Gus Revenberg since they were the ones who had fixed the problems previously. We were willing to pay for a diagnosis over a free one from Best Rate because we no longer trusted Best Rate. They discovered several issues. The floor was littered with rust, under the gear box was SEVERE corrosion, and the fuse for the overhead lamps was half melted. The fusebox under the passenger side of the dash would also need to be replaced which was discontinued. Between the diagnosis, labour, and replacement parts we were almost looking at almost a 1k fix. Not to mention any other issues that would come at a later date due to the corrosion and who knows what else. At this point we had completely lost all faith in Best Rate, their ethics being sketchy from the start. 1. Somehow the heat not working AT ALL managed to pass a "safety". 2. According to Gus Revenberg, Best Rate had not paid a PENNY for the repairs to the heat and the leaking, since it was under a special warranty - despite the manager claiming they had "put too much money into it". We also went through CarFax to find more information, and found out that we were the 4th owners of the vehicle since 2006 which we were not made aware of and at one point it was used as a 'fleet' vehicle. Gus Revenberg took complete care of us, and we decided to trade it in instead of going back and dealing with Best Rate because we were completely fed up with them since they were unethical and unprofessional. As first time car buyers, this was a horrible experience which completely turned us off. However Gus Revenberg went above and beyond and really helped us out. We will never deal with Best Rate again, and I would never EVER recommend anyone going there. More

I was in a little bit of an unusual situation when I went car shopping. I was driving a Jeep TJ with a stick shift, which I loved, but I was going to be having cancer surgery in the near future which require car shopping. I was driving a Jeep TJ with a stick shift, which I loved, but I was going to be having cancer surgery in the near future which required me to get an automatic transmission equipped vehicle if I was going to be able to drive myself to my follow up treatments. I initially stopped in to the lot to look at a Magnum wagon but was distracted by a Suburban Z71 sitting at the back of the lot. I ended up talking with Damien and leaving a deposit on that truck that night. I brought my wife back the next day for her to look at it and we wrote up deal on the spot. Everything was handled quickly, efficiently and professionally. My only complaint was having to negotiate the trade in value for my Jeep. Even at trade in rates, it was valued considerably low. Otherwise all my dealings with the entire staff have been great. The financing rate on the new vehicle was competitive and very low. I was given a two year unlimited mileage powertrain warranty for some peace of mind motoring at a fair price as part of the deal. I had a year of free oil changes on the Suburban and even used the free car wash service a few times. Everyone has been friendly, cooperative and helpful every step of the way and I consider the staff there to be friends. Overall I've been extremely pleased with my purchase. I love the truck and it has been trouble free. I would recommend Best Rate to my family and friends if they were in the market for a used car. More
