I suspect this review will not make it to publishing but I do NOT recommend this dealership. They suggested I submit an offer and then would not entertain even a couple hundred dollars reduction. After signing the initial bill of sale (the one before the pitch to upsell you), there were other things that needed to be decided/negotiated (low interest rate offers but only good with purchase of a $3k Vehicle Total Loss Program, warranty itself, etc.) and things went down hill from there. I kept their written rude comments, and they basically acted like they didn't want to sell me the car once they realized I was not buying any of their "extras". I was ignored for days after leaving messages, and the manager made a deal to deliver the car to me, but then the others would not uphold that agreement. Strange, I know-who is the boss I don't know. They also would not return my deposit after things started to get sour. It took about 3 weeks to finalize the deal. I even contacted their dealership parent 401group and they wouldn't speak to me. Ended up having to buy the car but the car was not my issue - it was the sales service group. Sorry, but this is honest. More
My experience with Barrie Kia was terrible. I was promised winter tires and rims with my purchase, but they lied, swapped the originals, and tried to pass off incompatible replacements. When I raised safety concerns, staff, especially Jesse, were dismissive and even laughed at me. Attempts to resolve the issue were ignored, and I was told to “outsource” my own tires. While Mike and Dom showed professionalism, the overall experience was filled with dishonesty and disrespect. Avoid Barrie Kia if you value your time and safety. More
On a new car purchase yesterday afternoon, I was mislead about several "options" and charged for extras amounting to almost $4,000. He would not let me talk to the Manager. This less than 24 hours after the unfortunate purchase and $5k deposit. No contact available by email. Go to Paul Sadlon's if you want an honest Car Salesperson. More
So poor customer service, communication about my progress on my car was poor. Purchased two vechile through this dealership. SECOND vechile starter went 3 times and this time under warranty 20 thousand and I am at 5 thousand and starter went again . The staff were polite, easy-going and helpful. Too bad they work for Kia because I had my 2016 Kia Soul for 3 years, got it at 115000kms, ONLY drove 35000kms and the engine went kaput. I kept up with all the oil changes, had no problems and then it all happened so fast. The engine light finally came on right before it died. There were no lights to indicate something was wrong. Will never get a Kia, ever again. Like I said before, the staff were amazing, they made sure I was taken care of quickly and in a safe manner but I will never buy a Kia again. More
