We drove a brand new Kia Sorento off the lot in Ottawa at 9pm on Friday night only to have it towed to the Kingston Dealership at 9am the very next morning. That is not what was frustrating, we fully underst 9pm on Friday night only to have it towed to the Kingston Dealership at 9am the very next morning. That is not what was frustrating, we fully understood that with a new vehicle there would be an adjustment here and there, and that's exactly what it ended up being. Kingston Kia was very professional and quickly diagnosed the problem and has us back on the road. Bank Street Kia on the other hand took a frustrated customer and turned him into a furious customer. The entire set of details are not important, but customer service 101 teaches you that telling an upset customer, and with a very indignant tone of voice, that he needs to use some common sense -15 degrees Celsius may be why your brand new vehicle won't start. I'm pretty sure Kia Canada would not accept that as a threshold for one of their signature SUV'S. Also at least half a dozen times at the dealership, being referred to as MY BROTHA, was not what one expects either. This whole bad experience revolved around one individual, and to rate a dealership on that alone may or may not be fair, but I was in sales for a lot of years and could not believe how this was handled. Living and Kingston I will have no reason for dealing with Kia Bank Str. but my experience has to be rated as very bad. Harry Witteveen More
