John Nicholson is the Best!!! I recently went into the Bank Street Hyundai dealership during their end-of-March promotional event to test the waters on buying a new car. I must adm I recently went into the Bank Street Hyundai dealership during their end-of-March promotional event to test the waters on buying a new car. I must admit I was a bit apprehensive walking in as I have had very negative experiences with 'slippery' sales people in the past. Suffice it to say, it has not been my favourite thing! John Nicholson,Internet Sales Manager, was assigned to me and right off the bat I felt myself relax. Within about 10 minutes I was very comfortable with John as he walked me through the features on the lovely Elantra SE that I had my eye on. John's style is very straightforward, amiable and helpful - big on info and extremely low on pressure. I basically had one day to test drive and begin negotiating before going out of the country for 10 days during which the promotion would end. So the rest of the deal was negotiated over a series of emails over two time zones and with sporadic access on my part to both WIFI and telephone. As we went back and forth with options, and a surprise twist in car availability, John (who must have been under internal pressure to make the sale) remained focussed on my requests and queries and met me question for question with detailed information and added alot of value by sharing his own experiences with owning an Elantra. When I questioned him on certain options that I was curious about and not necessarily interested in, he was both enthusiastic (about the features) and respectful (of my stated preferences). I was doing my best to negotiate my way through the maze of additional charges that really add up once you add taxes and fees and John was both open to and patient with each of my requests for 'extras'. He really went to bat to get me the best value and we sealed the deal upon my return to town and I am now the proud and happy owner of an Elantra GT SE Tech. Very very fun! Thank you very much John! Joe Younes, the Financial Manager who prepared all the paperwork for the sale, was very professional and pleasant to deal with as well. Joe has an easy and straightforward manner.
