AutoPark Barrie

I am a single parent, struggling to make ends meet, but I need a vehicle for my job. In May 2024, I purchased a vehicle from AutoPark. My main concerns, as I told the salesman, was that I have a reliable, need a vehicle for my job. In May 2024, I purchased a vehicle from AutoPark. My main concerns, as I told the salesman, was that I have a reliable, safe vehicle that would be affordable for me. He assured me that the 2018 VW Tiguan he wanted to sell me was extremely reliable and safe and, given my price range, affordable. Within a week of my taking the vehicle, the EPC warning light came on. AutoPark examined the vehicle and told me I needed a new battery, which they changed at no further cost to me. Within two months, the passenger airbag light came on, as did the engine light. I have been informed that only VW can do diagnostics on their vehicles, and they charge $159 per light that turns on. When you have two lights, as I did, that cost is over $300 and that's before they tell you what's wrong and how much more you'll have to pay for repairs. Now I have two more lights: the engine and EPC lights have come on again. I have had the vehicle for less than six months and the warranty that AutoPark foisted onto me has paid for exactly zero of the diagnostics or repairs so far. To say I feel as though I've been swindled is the understatement of the year. More

Terrible service as the dealership did not call or advise on financing (rate higher than I advised I would agree to and they sold the vehicle (apparently while financing was going through). Communication was awful, all day promising they would call "right now" and never did... I finally reached them *at the end of the day when I had no other options - and the salesman tried to get me into a more expensive vehicle at an even higher rate. Waste of my day and I didn't have time to spare. Obviously, they don't care about my time, urgent need for a vehicle or digging into my credit for no purpose. Strung me along all day and with nothing to show for it. More

2014 Jetta had no A/C, which I didn’t notice as first time buyer, the sales rep did not make me aware of that, he didn’t care about me, or customer satisfaction, he cared about making a sale.
