15 years of great service I've been dealing with Acura of Barrie since 2003, having bought or leased eight Acura vehicles. During that time I tried having my service work done I've been dealing with Acura of Barrie since 2003, having bought or leased eight Acura vehicles. During that time I tried having my service work done elsewhere but always ended up back at Acura. They're not perfect and there have been times when ownership changes and staff turnover have led to some minor disappointments, but simply put, nobody knows these vehicles better, and nobody is better to deal with than Nathan Guaglio, the Assistant Service Manager, his colleague Paul and Alex the Service Manager. Nat knows the vehicles inside and out and is the most honest and trustworthy service person you could ask for. I trust what he tells me and follow his advice when it comes to required or recommended service, and wouldn't think of going elsewhere. I'm surprised at some of the negative reviews - they simply don't reflect my own experiences, but then I've always felt you get the respect you deserve based on how you treat others. I don't go in with unreasonable demands, I book my appointments ahead of time and I respect that these folks are there to run a profitable business and have limitations on what they can do. Over the years I've witnessed customers who make unreasonable demands, expect immediate service without an appointment (e.g. snow tires installed during the first big snowfall of the season) and expect warranty coverage despite NOT maintaining regularly scheduled service on their vehicles. And when they don't get what they want who do they blame - yup, the dealership and its staff when they should be owning up to their own mistakes and self entitled attitudes. Despite this Nat, Paul and Alex still treat them with the respect they haven't earned and carry out their duties in a professional courteous manner, even with customers who don't deserve the courtesy (at least in my eyes). To be clear, I have no affiliation with the dealership - financial or family. I'm simply a customer who has been the recipient of probably a hundred or more great experiences over 15 years at Acura of Barrie and feel others should know about it. More

It was like me the customer asking for help was a royal pain Service department was unhelpful, very arrogant, and plain rude in how they spoke to me. It was like me the customer asking for help was a royal pain in the rear end when I had some questions about my warranty and issue.....do they not work in "service" department? Another Acura dealer was happy to help me with my service request and I was thankful for the help. They now get my service moving forward and my trade in when its time. Bye bye Barrie Acura! More

Worst experience from the moment they get your signature Shopping for a used SUV for my wife. No trade in, cash purchase. Found an RDX that was locally purchased, owned, serviced and traded in. Vehicle neede Shopping for a used SUV for my wife. No trade in, cash purchase. Found an RDX that was locally purchased, owned, serviced and traded in. Vehicle needed brake job and in my opinion tires (67,000kms). Dealer felt they would squeak past safety. Offered to sell set at full price. Missing charge protector which clearly had been there before. Lowered price about 1000 from asking, sales guy had to pay for cargo protector to make deal happen. All this on a Monday. Wife was supposed to meet sales guy at 7:00 next day to complete relevant transaction. Left at 5, nobody knew what was what. She left info for him and request to call her next day.no calls even after 2 more calls by her on Wednesday. Wednesday, told license plate registration had not been done on time, come back Thursday. Thursday told detailing wasn’t done yet. Very sorry, lie about attempts to call wife who stood by phone and has call display, record, etc. No plates on old car, very sorry, will pick her up Friday at 2 and look into compensation for trouble. Compensation will be free pick up. Friday, no show at 2. Told it was at 4. Must be miscommunication. Still don’t have car yet. Worse ever experience. Will publicize!! More
