I was searching for a Mazda CX7. We have never owned a Mazda but my wife liked them andhad asked a number of Mazda owners if they liked them. All had good things to say so I was on the search. I found on Mazda but my wife liked them andhad asked a number of Mazda owners if they liked them. All had good things to say so I was on the search. I found one at 401 Dixie for what we thought a fair price so I called to ask about it. It sounded good ( and told it was certified) so I made the 45 minute drive there. When I got there I was told the price was "not certified" and no warranty. After some long negotiating and a 45 minute argument to include a warranty I signed the purchase agreement. BIG MISTAKE. After less than 7 months it broke down big time. The turbo went which was $4500. Thankfully that was warrantied but we had to spend $2000.00 out of our own pocket ( that's another story as we took it to a local Mazda for repairs and not pleased with them either) AND its broken again, of course it's also not an inexpensive repair. I can't believe they would put a car with so many problems on their lot. Any honest company would have seen many of the problems and repaired it prior. These problems were not due to misuse. My wife drives it and only drive about 5 minutes to work. Now my wife doesn't feel safe driving to far incase something else goes on it when she has the kids in the car ( which is why we bought a néwer car in the first place cause he's was becoming unreliable. Haven't even had it a year and has needed $7000.00 in repairs and like I said its broken again More
DO NOT GO HERE!!!! Friendliness got 3 but it was all fake to trap you. This dealer has NO WORKING ETHICS and consumers must be WARNED. Like some previous experience in this review. The sales person OVER PRIC to trap you. This dealer has NO WORKING ETHICS and consumers must be WARNED. Like some previous experience in this review. The sales person OVER PRICED by a few thousands and tried to make it looks like they're trying to give you a good deal. But in the end, they still managed to make me over paid for my Mazda by $5000. Crazy! In the actual contract the real price came out (which is much lower then their stated price) and the extra money they got from me goes to all kinds of extra charges such as Rust Protection, Tire Fob, etc which they initially confirmed with me multiple times these are standard charges and mandatory. They LIED and LIED again. It was my first stop to shop and I felt into the trap. Luckily, I felt wrong and stayed up at night investigating everything about the transaction. They're busted. I got my 24 hours right of refusing of any purchase under consumer protection law. They have no good reason to say no. So they pretend to say that all those were a misunderstanding but luckily, I remembered everything with stuff written down all over with my witness with me the whole time for 4 hours at the dealership. I was so lucky to get out of the deal on time. Lesson learned: 1. DO NOT BUY anything here. SCAM ALERT!!!! 2. CANNOT TRUST any sales people. They LIE all the time. KNOW YOUR STUFF. Research online. 3. If it's "TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE", there's a trap. If the investment is over $500, TAKE YOUR TIME TO DECIDE. 4. Especially buying a car, the deal once given, it will be there for you. There's NO RUSH, NO PRESSURE unless it's a SCAM. 5. If not written down in the contract, it's not valid. So make sure anything is important to you, make sure you see that in the contract. 6. DO NOT SIGN anything that you don't read, especially a purchase agreement given to you buy the sales rep. It's their contract, not standard so they can write whatever "fine print" and distract you to get you sign. They always try to gain your trust and screw you over. My experience at this place was horrendous. However, I was lucky to get out on time. Please be smarter than me and don't shop here. More
I was there to see any used car they have for sale, as I had no previous experience of buying a car I selected one car that looked pretty. They told me the delivery day and time, before going there I confir had no previous experience of buying a car I selected one car that looked pretty. They told me the delivery day and time, before going there I confirmed twice and you know what the car wasn't ready when I reached, they kept me waiting for an hour and then said come 2 days after, what? Is it because I paid the money already, bad experience buying a very first car of my life..:) More
My family and myself have owned a few Mazda's in our lifetime and they are great cars. Typically we have gone to Westowne Mazda to purchase our cars but were given a really great price with 401 Dixie. lifetime and they are great cars. Typically we have gone to Westowne Mazda to purchase our cars but were given a really great price with 401 Dixie. I must say though that the customer service and the process of purchasing the car was very painful. Every question asked to any sales rep or employee always ended in "Let me check with my Manager", in which the employee would leave for 10-15 minutes each time. After I paid the deposit and sat down with the Finance Manager, we were again left in the office for 20 minutes, while he went to check for the second set of keys. No one returned, until I got up to find them and they were chatting with other sales reps by the receptionist's desk. I thought I was in the clear and perhaps it was an off day at their dealership. When I went to pick up the car, my sales rep, whom specified that I needed to be at the dealership before 10:30am, was no where to be found. I was handed off to another rep to finish off the paperwork. When I asked them for a copy of the work order for the inspection for my car, they presented me with a work order for a different car. 30 minutes later, they finally presented me with the work order for my car. The rep also forgot the gift car for service that was written into my contract and again had to go ask his manager, even though I had a signed copy of the contract. Got the gift card, ownership papers, now I can finally leave the dealership...nope! I got into my car and they had forgotten to put gas in the car, the gas light was on and the tank was empty. I had to wait another 15 minutes while the rep left me, yep you guessed it, to go speak to his manager. I had to follow the reps to a gas station down the street, so they could put gas in my car. I've been in Sales and Customer Service my entire life, never have I had a worse experience then I did at 401 Dixie Mazda. At least at Westowne they value your time and make sure that they are organized when you arrive to pick up your car. Last time I bought a Mazda I was in and out in 30 minutes. In hindsight, I should have paid the extra $2000 for a Mazda at Westowne, then deal with the disorganized chaos that is 401 Dixie. More
They scam people at this dealership. DO NOT GO. They tell you one price and charge you another. Then when brought to their attention I was completely ignored. you one price and charge you another. Then when brought to their attention I was completely ignored. More
I had the exact experience in the exact words as the person above. No Ipad, high pressure sale, do not take no for an answer. Made it seem like it was the end of the year and needed to buy the car that person above. No Ipad, high pressure sale, do not take no for an answer. Made it seem like it was the end of the year and needed to buy the car that day to get the deal. In the end there was no deal they just extend the term to make it seem like you're getting a deal. And they do by weekly payments which in the end you end up paying more because in some months there is more weeks. So in the end you are paying more but they do not tell you that. Do not go there, you will get ripped off! More
WARNING! DO NOT PURCHASE A VECHICLE FROM 401Dixie Mazda. I purchased a Mazda 3 from this dealership and it was a complete mess. On the initial pickup date, they gave me the wrong vechicle. I checked I purchased a Mazda 3 from this dealership and it was a complete mess. On the initial pickup date, they gave me the wrong vechicle. I checked the car and it looked fine, however there was no gas. The sales rep took me to fill up gas and show me how the bluetooth worked and left. It seems like they have no idea what cars they carry on their lot. Afterwards I took the car for rustproofing and they kept on calling my house number 3 - 4 times non stop. They advised me that I needed to take the car in and have it exchanged for another one even though the VIN numbers matched. This required me to come in multiple times to return the car and to sign and draw up a new contract. This was very unprofessional and they only offered to do there rustproofing which I had already paid for. Please avoid this dealership, it is not worth the hasstle. More
Do NOT buy your Mazda here! These guys are into making fast sales using high pressure tactics. They started out by over quoting me by a few thousand dollars, then kept reducing the price to lead me to be fast sales using high pressure tactics. They started out by over quoting me by a few thousand dollars, then kept reducing the price to lead me to believe I was receiving a huge discount. They insisted I had to buy that day which happened to be Dec.31st to take advantage of the huge savings they were offering me. Created a sense of urgency. Come to find out, after signing, there was no deal. I received the same quote through Mazda Canada as well as another Mazda dealer several days later. And to top it off, I could have and should have received an ipad 2 and 90 days no payments as part of a Regional Mazda promo. The sales guy told me that there was no way he could honor those promos as he had discounted my car so heavily that he had no money to play with. Complete lies. They just wanted to make their end of year numbers and I was the sucker that helped them do it. Lesson learned. Would strongly advise to avoid this dealership. They are not about developing long lasting client relationships and building loyalty, rather making a fast sale today at whatever cost. More
