How a sales agreement can be figuratively ripped up because the dealer changed its mind due to their oversight is incomprehensible. The licensing agency OMVIC can’t even help you in this case since it turns into a civil suit. Guess car contracts that are “binding” doesn’t mean “binding” in Ontario, Canada? The brand has really taken off in recent years, especially with the design genius of Peter Schreyer from Audi heritage. It’s unfortunate if Kia Motors Company doesn’t implement a better dealer guideline where an owner is expected to at minimal follow contract law. With dealerships such as 401 Dixie Kia, will the automotive sales industry ever lose its “icky” side? Caveat Emptor More
My wife and I have purchased two Kia vehicles from this dealership (401 Dixie Kia). The vehichles themselves (Rondo and Rio5) are absolutely fantastic and we love them. However, the employees, managers included really leave much to be desired. Everyone was great up front, really nice and helpful, until the deal was signed and we got the vehicles. With the vehicles we purchased some extras, floor mats, paint sticks, etc... It has been over two months and we are still trying to get these items. We were originally told by Jordan that it would take 3 or 4 days for the items to come in, but that he would call when they did. After a week I called, to which he said it might take another week. After a few weeks he would not take our calls or return our messages. Michelle, one of the managers, who guarenteed she would get this fixed has not. Another manager, Adam, who I was able to speak with last week guarenteed them for the following Monday. Of course Monday he was unavailable all day, didnt return calls etc. This dealership has proven a nightmare for us and I highly recommend any other Kia dealership over this one. As a summary for those who do not need the descriptive passage above: - purchased two new Kia 2011 vehicles from this dealership - staff helpful until you pick up the car - never return calls or deliver on what they say - Over two months and they are still giving us the run around Highly highly do not recommend anyone purchase from this dealership.
