Marcus and Sky were a pleasure to deal with. They took time to understand my needs and made appropriate recommendations. I always felt welcome and appreciated. On the negative side my dealings with Robert time to understand my needs and made appropriate recommendations. I always felt welcome and appreciated. On the negative side my dealings with Robert were not up to my expectations. During the financing paperwork, I was provided with incorrect information and to my shock the interest rate I was quoted ended up higher that what I had earlier agreed upon. Honestly after a whirlwind of paperwork I felt confused and felt like I was not getting the value I expected. I left the dealership emotionally exhausted, very happy to receive the car I desired, but questioning the value of the final deal. A note to prospective buyers I would recommend asking for all the insurance, extended warranties, car protection etc. be worked out prior to picking up your car. That was my mistake; I did not have enough time to thoroughly look thru the paperwork that was presented to me on the day I was picking up the car. I also found that I had to make a lot of decisions on the spot. It really was a stressful experience. I am not sure if this is a normal practice at dealerships these days but a purchaser should know what the final costs are prior to picking up the vehicle. Overall I would rate my experience as slightly above average. My only wish is that the dealership should have walked me thru the paperwork, and given me a heads up on how long it might take to process all the myriad of paperwork. I had been out of the country for several years and hadn’t made a car purchase in almost 15 years. It was quite a different experience than what I had so many years ago. More
So I primarily went to the this dealer for lease pricing, in no way was I going to make a decision that day. When I walked in the door I was greeted almost immediately, asked my purpose of coming in today a in no way was I going to make a decision that day. When I walked in the door I was greeted almost immediately, asked my purpose of coming in today and was introduced to a sales person. I stated I had been looking online and wanted to see some leasing numbers on a Kia hatch. At that point the push back began, "finance will be better for you, leasing is for business owners, do you even understand how the lease works, etc". Again I explained I only wanted to see lease at this point and perhaps (really to have him stop asking me) shoot me a finance number too. The sales guy got my all the details I was looking for and went off to another office to come back with an answer. Things were looking up, I was on my lunch I figured this could be quick as I didn't have a lot of time. He returned and the blurb began, "I am not your typical sales guy I want what is best for you, but I need your commitment to buy today to get you good numbers." I re-explained my purpose of coming here and he showed me the numbers lease rate was about 2 times higher than what the website said but magically the finance rate was lower. Again I was told "finance is the way for me". Actually it became pretty clear that the sales team were either commissioned high on finance or got some sort of kick back for it. Again, I explained my reasoning for wanting to lease, the pricing he had vs the website and that I wanted to trade my current vehicle too. For some reason he seemed agitated by this, but he went through the motions of the trade, back to the office for pricing, back to me with even better finance rates and no more lease rates. At this point I was getting ready to walk for two reason this guy is clearing selling me what he wanted not what I wanted, and I am now approaching the hour mark and I have gotten no info what so ever. I decide to change tactics get a brochure and ask him some details on the car at least get some information I could refer to later when making a decision. Nope, no brochures. Ok sometimes the run out, "can you tell me the engine size, options, colors you have on the lot?" The sales man didn't know. I started to grab my things. It was now late for work and had gotten no info, no numbers but a fair idea of what to expect if I continued dealing with this dealer. I could go on about the other little things that irked me but you get the gist. I actually am dealing with another dealer now, he had me prices and a pdf brochure to me in 15 min within my first inquiry. Would I buy a Kia still? Yes. From here? No way Would I recommend this dealer? No More
We were looking for a great deal, as does everyone! Amit found an almost brand new car, at an affordable price, which did not require a second thought when we saw it! He was knowledgeable and informative, p found an almost brand new car, at an affordable price, which did not require a second thought when we saw it! He was knowledgeable and informative, patiently answering all our questions. Amit assured us this was a fantastic deal on a reliable car which he himself would have purchased for his own family! What impressed us most was his unhurried manner and lack of the usual sales pitch most car salesman are unfortunately known for. We would highly recommend Amit and 401 Dixie Kia when you are looking to buy your car! More

First Time Car Buyer - My 401 Dixie KIA Customer Experience Saturday November 9th 2013 - I wasn't aware there was some kind of Special KIA Event when I came to visit with my husband & our mechan Experience Saturday November 9th 2013 - I wasn't aware there was some kind of Special KIA Event when I came to visit with my husband & our mechanic friend, to test drive a 2014 KIA Sorento. This may have attributed to the urgency to sell us a car; we just came in to test drive. I was greeted by Carlton M. He advised us that he is not your typical pushy salesman. He wasn't, but that didn't stop him from sending us other pushy salesmen, who asked us why we weren't going to purchase the car today. We were honest with them. We came in for a test drive, and they were also unable to answer our various questions about the car. After two hours, we were able to leave. After that experience, I decided to check out 3 other dealerships. I was set out to buy my car at Brampton KIA until I found out about this website and I read the reviews on them. I decided to give this dealership a second chance due to the rave reviews & proximity to my home. I also let them know that I would be returning. Thursday November 21 2013 – Greeted again by Carlton and ended up purchasing the vehicle after speaking with Melissa (Finance). She was able to answer all my questions about the car. If it wasn’t for her, I would have walked out. Friday November 29 2013 – When I came to pick up the car, Carlton was eager to have me sign for it. I signed half the papers and wanted to see the car. I noticed the hood sensor was indicating the hood was open, when it was closed. The Navigation system believes I am in Detroit. I noticed the car has 187km on it already. I advised I will not sign anymore papers until this is corrected and I left. Carlton stayed late and I believe came in on his day off to advise me the next day that the hood sensor was fixed. Monday December 2 2013 – When I arrived with a friend to get the car, we noticed there is a crack on the side entrance panel, the steering wheel cover wasn’t closed and the navigation wasn’t getting a signal. Wednesday December 4 2013 – The Navigation unit was replaced from another car. It appeared to work. I wasn’t happy with my experience so my floor mats, which were dirty, were reimbursed ($100) and Melissa managed to save me $150 on a 3M application, which seems reasonable since I am paying $53,000 for this vehicle. I drove the car for 30 minutes; navigation seemed off so I advised them to have a look at it while I was gone. I left the car with them to get the 3M applied. Monday December 9 2013 – Navigation stopped working and the antenna was ordered. Friday December 20th 2013 – advised Antenna came in on Tuesday when I called, no one from service called to let me know. Monday January 6 2014 – Antenna was replaced. Navigation still isn’t working. They are looking at replacing the nav unit again without knowing that it was replaced already. After I signed for the car, which I suspected, I haven’t been reached out in order to make me a happy customer. I am happy with my purchase. KIA Canada and OMVIC have been super helpful. I just haven’t been happy with the service and I regret buying it here. I should have went with my original instinct. However, I found out that their service manager is no longer there and a new service advisor (Paul) is in. I have my fingers crossed that the service will improve. If anyone has any questions about my experience, please do not hesitate to contact me @ mimimoura@hotmail.com More
