I dropped off my car for a simple battery change, but
when I picked it up, the window switch was broken and had sharp edges. They are denying that the damage happened while the car was in their care and

I'm frustrated by their refusal to take responsibility, as I should not be responsible for damage caused by their team.

At Platinum, we take full responsibility for any issues caused by our team. However, in this case, no one from our staff interfered with the components of your vehicle, specifically the window switch. Changing a battery does not require interaction with the window switch, and these switches are securely installed and do not come loose on their own; they require a specialized tool for removal. Therefore, we believe this issue was not related to our service on your vehicle.

It is unusual that the switch issue was not noted when you initially picked up the vehicle. Upon your follow-up call, we offered to cover the labor costs if you bought the replacement switch, as there was no evidence of damage caused by Platinum. We aim to provide every possible assistance; however, it seems you may be choosing to challenge Platinum’s reputation instead of taking responsibility for replacing a switch that was not affected by our service.

It is not a true statement that full responsibility would be taken for issues caused by your team. It was stated on a call to me by the Manager that if a Platinum team member broke the windshield, I would be responsible for cost of that repair. That definitely is not taking accountability and causes me to distrust this business when I was in need of quality workmanship.

After leasing and buying four (4) cars from them, my wife and I recently had a problem where our 2020 Jetta with 32000 miles died due to a faulty engine. Rather than help us with a car that was clearly under warranty, they washed their hands of my issue, saying that my mechanic failed to put oil in my car. This is a lie. My mechanic of over 20 years checked my car twice before towing it to Platinum and then checked it again in front of me when they towed my car from Platinum. I gave Platinum all of the maintenance records. In addition to walking away from my problem and helping a former loyal customer, they were arrogant and dismissive. I now have a legal matter which I WILL pursue as all of the evidence is in my favor. I paid off this car in January 2024 and now have a mess on my hands. Good bye to Platinum and Volkswagen as a brand. There are too many other dealers that would appreciate my business with many other quality brands.

Your mechanic did an oil change the problem is he failed to fill the car up with oil and started your car which destoyed the engine. That is why your car was towed instead of driven to Platinum. Volkswagen warranty turned down your request for a new motor.

This is NOT TRUE! Huntington VW performed a thorough diagnostic and it was determined that my car WAS under warranty and DID have oil in the car. I was dismissed by Platinum in an arrogant and unfriendly manner where I was left with a major problem and they could care less. I would NEVER recommend Platinum VW to anyone.

You have never stepped foot into Platinum until today. You serviced your car and went home to find all of the sudden your Uber screen was cracked. You then tried to lie to the service department. When you were denied there you looked up Josh the General manager so you can threaten him that you needed the screen to be fixed. After that you proceeded to write bad reviews as you stated in your email as you did not get your way. All over a 100 Uber screen that was already broken before Platinum touched your car.

This is about a screen not anything else you called looking to fight everyone at Platinum your requests were all denied and now you want to show everyone how well you write. You were rude to my staff calling my service managers names. Then you wanted to fight with someone above my service manager you looked up the general manager, Your accusatory manner and your actions are not acceptable they way you handled your self in not acceptable. Your attacked my service manager on a personal level and then you continued to act towards the same way, the general manger on a personal level threatening bad reviews if Platinum did not fix your screen. You can write all the bad reviews you want however Platinum is not going to deal with this any further.

Please don't swear on anyone's life that is not healthy. Like I said in all your ranting an raving no one here broke your Uber screen or they would have admitted it. You tune has changed to the public as yesterday you were demanding and accusing Platinum employees. If it was that important to you you would have checked at the time of pickup. We suggest with all your issues that you have that you return to your selling dealer. They will help you in the future. You still cannot drive a car leased or financed for Uber. So your still in the wrong with the bank and your warranty. Good luck.
