Went to Lexus of Henderson to look at 2023 Rav4 Hybrid for our daughter. Terry is a new salesman that says he has been there a while. LIE #1! Test drove the car and proceeded with negotiations. After further review we questioned the $999 registration fee and were told that includes registration of the vehicle and he would ensure it was taken care of. We questioned him about purchasing an extended factory warranty on the vehicle… he state WE WERE NOT ABLE TO, because we were not purchasing a Lexus. Lexus and Toyota are not the same. LIE #2!! I told him I have NEVER HEARD of that. I called Toyota Corporate and was told to call a local dealer to purchase one. I called Findlay Toyota and spoke TJ to get a quoted price, he said its not an issue. I tried to contact David Wilson Toyota as well but never received the finance dept. During processing we met with Siri, which we had met him in 2019 when he started at Lexus of Henderson. We asked him about the warranty. He told us Terry didnt know what he was talking about. The Lexus and Toyota warranty are the same. We were able to purchase it with NO ISSUE!!! We were trading in a vehicle, which of course they gave us very low value for it. However, we were able to endure that for the purchase of the vehicle. Terry didn’t know we were not able to take the new vehicle to adhere the cashier check and title for trade in vehicle. We received a call from Siri to come back to the dealer to sign additional paperwork for the warranty. When we arrived at the dealer ww ran into Terry, he told us he needed our credit card information so the fleet dept would process the registration. I immediately questioned him and the $999 fee he charged us. He said oh no that is Lexus doc fee. So he LIED to us. Our daughter even remembers the conversation word for word as I did. Terry is a BAD SALESMAN! We have purchased MANY vehicles with Lexus since 2003. We have never had an issue and love the service dept. HOWEVER I WOULD NEVER EVER PURCHASE A VEHICLE FROM THEM AGAIN AFTER BEING CHARGED $999 FOR A DOC FEE - NOTHING TO DO WITH REGISTRATION!!!
