Unprofessional and unresponsive I recently purchased a vehicle from BMW Silver Spring to be delivered to me in North Carolina. It ended up being a nightmare, beginning to end. Lots I recently purchased a vehicle from BMW Silver Spring to be delivered to me in North Carolina. It ended up being a nightmare, beginning to end. Lots of empty promises. As soon as we came to an agreement on price they lowered the online listed price of the same vehicle to get more nibbles before finalizing the sell with me. They made promises about being a dealership that can handle new vehicle deliveries, but once I signed the paperwork and the car was mine it still took them 5 days to get random bids for transporting the vehicle. The driver that finally delivered my car was not bonded, and carried my new BMW on the back on his trailer pulled by a pickup truck for 24 hours before finally making his way to my location. When I contacted the dealership with my concerns my calls were either not accepted, sent to a voicemail, or returned via text message rather than a phone call. From the time the dealership had my signed papers in hand the car could have been delivered to me 14 times before it actually made it to my house. It was the most unpleasant buying experience I have had in a very long time. The excuses I kept getting were, "That's not my area. Someone else will have to talk to you about that"....."We are at the mercy of (the driver, the notary service, the delivery department, etc)"....."I'm not sure what you want me to do about it." It was the most unprofessional and aggravating car purchase to date. I will not purchase, nor recommend BMW of Silver Spring to anyone, especially not Len Familant who was neglectful, rude, unresponsive and always had the excuse of being somewhere other than the dealership. Be a smart consumer. If you are going to buy from them, and especially if you plan to have your car transported to you, just know they will actually put your car out of a website to be bid on, and the lowest bidder will be delivering your car (hopefully) whenever they get around to it. The delivery driver that transported my vehicle does so as a side business (again, not bonded...his business is a DBA) and said the dealership paid $300 to have it delivered at his convenience. Do not believe the $1500 quote to have your car transported to you. The sales team at BMW of Silver Spring are going to care less about when and how you get your car once you sign the papers. They will be non-responsive, full of excuses, and unprofessional, not to mention before your deal is final they will try to sell the vehicle out from under you to someone who will give them just a few dollars more. I expected more from BMW. 'Highly disappointed' doesn't begin to cover it. More
