However, on final inspection before taking home my brand-new vehicle, I noticed a deep scratch on the driver’s side wheel flare. The dealership didn’t have the part but agreed to ship it to me, which I appreciate. That said, I live over 90 miles away, and they refused to cover the $180 installation cost at a local Chevy dealer. Their only solution was for me to drive all the way back to have it installed—a full-day commitment for something that should have been caught before the car was even prepped for sale.
It’s odd that there’d be any resistance to covering the cost of fixing something that was clearly faulty with their own stock. For anyone considering buying here, I’d recommend doing a thorough inspection beforehand, as getting post-sale issues resolved may not be as straightforward as you’d expect.
