A Masterclass in Inefficiency and Predatory Service - kunal.jaggi

A Masterclass in Inefficiency and Predatory Service Practices I would give zero stars if it were an option. My experience at City Buick Chevrolet Cadillac GMC has been an absolute nightmare of poor scheduling, non-existent communication, and what feels like an attempt to exploit customers for exorbitant fees. I arrived for a 7:30 AM scheduled appointment for an oil change and to address a cruise control issue that, interestingly, only started malfunctioning immediately after my last service here in January. While I’m not saying they did something wrong during that visit, it is a very strange coincidence that a perfectly functional system began failing the moment it left their shop. Despite being there first thing in the morning, my vehicle sat untouched for over eight hours. I had to initiate every single follow-up myself throughout the day. It wasn't until 4:00 PM—nearly a full work day later—that I was finally told they "did an initial diagnostic" but couldn't find the issue. While they charged me $105 for the oil change (which was fine), they also charged $199++ for a "diagnostic" that provided zero value. I wasn't even given a full diagnostic report; instead, I received high-level notes that simply repeated the exact symptoms I had already explained to them when I dropped the car off. At this point, I’m not even sure a proper diagnostic was actually performed. To make matters worse, the "solution" they offered was a $399 "detailed diagnostic" fee and a demand to keep my car over the entire weekend. They want to charge me double the standard rate to find a problem they were too disorganized to even look at during my actual appointment window. There was zero urgency or empathy from the staff regarding the delay they caused. They seem perfectly content to let customers incur mounting rental car costs while they "guess" at a fix they can't even guarantee. If you value your time, your money, or your sanity, stay far away from this service department. They take appointments they have no intention of keeping and then try to bill you for their own lack of productivity. Unprofessional management and a total lack of accountability.

Good afternoon, I would like to take a moment to - rita_dave

Good afternoon, I would like to take a moment to recognize the excellent service I received from Filip Petrovic. On Monday, March 2, 2026, I dropped off my husband Dave McKee’s 2024 Chevrolet Trailblazer because the engine light had come on. When I arrived, I was greeted by a young man who walked over to the vehicle with me. I showed him a photo of the code that appeared, and he explained that they would still run a full vehicle diagnostic to confirm the issue. We then returned to his desk, where I asked how much the repair would cost and how long the vehicle would be there. He explained that the vehicle was still under warranty, so there would be no charge. He also let me know the vehicle would likely be there for the day while they confirmed the part was available or ordered one if needed. I then signed the work order. Before leaving, I asked if the vehicle could be washed, as the last time I had tires and an oil change done it had not been washed. He said that would be fine. He also kindly offered to arrange a shuttle ride home, but I declined because I was going around the corner to the Olive Restaurant for lunch. Later, Filip Petrovic called to let me know it would be another half hour. The reason for his call was to offer to arrange a drive back to the dealership, but I told him I could simply take an Uber. When I arrived back at the dealership, Filip greeted me again with a smile and clearly explained what had been done to the vehicle. I thanked him and left. As I walked around the corner, I saw our vehicle — beautifully and freshly washed. From start to finish, I truly admired Filip’s work ethic. I felt that he went the extra mile, and I wanted to express my gratitude for the excellent service. Thank you. Sincerely, Rita McKee

I have never had a bad experience at this dealership, - rsauve002

I have never had a bad experience at this dealership, always friendly and experienced. Recently took the car in for a temp problem. They addressed the situation and had me back on the road in 6 hrs, thinking I would be without the vehicle for maybe 2 days. Super impressed with Steve in service, he went above my expectations, and had everything ready for me when I returned to pick up the car. Great work gentleman. Ric

Overcharged to do a scan at $199. - dougleitch2875

Overcharged to do a scan at $199.99 is in my opinion gauging customer. This scan should have only cost $99 or less. The sensors should have been $79.00 each not $125 each. This is the first time I have went to this dealership and I will not go back or recommend this. Charge $668 including taxes to do a scan and charge 2 tire sensors is overcharging is outrageous.

Contacted Charlie Nelson regarding a 2 year old Cadillac - jay

Contacted Charlie Nelson regarding a 2 year old Cadillac they had advertised. Negotiated with him in good faith and received a small discount on the purchase price. Agreed to on a final price AND EVEN PUT A $500 DEPOSIT on the vehicle. Next day he phones me a says he had a "miscommunication" with his manager and the price of the vehicle was now $1000 more. Very dishonest!!! Save yourself the aggravation and go to a reputable dealer.

DealerWorks is a SCAM! Dealership of scam artists. - Infiniti Guru

Went here to sell my car through DealerWorks. Saw the commercial on TV "Don't want Low Ballers and Tire Kickers? Come to us to sell your car". Huge mistake i made. They explained the process halfway, I had to ask 101 questions to get real answers out of them. Uncovered Hidden costs because i asked questions. If you didn't then you would be surprised at the end of the transaction. Then after a week of my car being on the lot, I get a call from the sales manager. "We have someone interested in your car! we just need to know off two thousand dollars" WHAT?!?! now you wanna low ball me? you set that price, not me.. and i did my homework before i agreed on the sale price with flex of $999. (Car was listed for $12,999) 20 days After being on the lot i get another call from the Sales Manager "Hey we have someone interested in your vehicle! Again, can we knock off $2000?" I explain you told me what price to list and said we will only use the $999. The car is eligible to stay on the lot for 3 months! why are you pressuring me?? I told him if you want do that, then take it out of your Commission! "Oh well we can't do that" of course not. I also left Brand new wiper blades in the car. On the passengers Seat. At the end of the transaction they said, "we had to charge an additional $25 for new wiper blades." I explained the wiper blades were left on the seat in with the car in your possession! "Someone must have stolen them, Not our fault" SOOO GLAD THEY SHUT DOWN! Not glad of all the people they ripped off in the process.. So sad. CTV did a story on them. Even the Big Boy dealers can be scam artists!

Dishonest Service Department ! - larrychin

Dishonest Service Department !! My elderly mother had her car into the dealership because it was not running smoothly. The diagnosis was a faulty ignition coil. which was replaced and a injector cleaning also done. This cost $1077, $791 of which was labor and only $271 were for parts. They then told here that she had a faulty water pump that needed to be replaced for $2000. When I heard that, I told her I would take it to my mechanic for second opinion. When she told them she was going to pick up the car, she was told she could not have it because it was not safe to drive, at which point we told them to release the car, which they did, but only after they charged $359 to "put it back together". It should be noted that diagnosing a leak in the cooling system should have been done by pressurizing the system and looking for a leak. There should not have been anything to put back together. After we got the car I took the car to my mechanic who diagnosed the problem as a loose hose clamp. Not only that, but the water pump appeared to have been replaced recently and there was nothing wrong with the water pump. Cost for diagnosis and replacing the clamp, $158, a far cry from $2000 ! That is the last time we go to that dealership for anything !

why does the service take so long at this dealership? - jmarkou

why does the service take so long at this dealership? i was in to have my tires mounted and balanced and so far it has taken over 2 hours. the service desk staff said that he would have me in and out quickly and to wait in the lobby. he didn't ask for my phone number so i was stuck there. After 30 minutes he came out and told me the tires were worn and that they should be replaced and then mentioned some other stuff that could also be done. the total would have been over $1000 dollars and i would have had to wait longer for them to bring the tires in from somewhere else. I said I didn't have the time today and have to be at another appointment. After that everything seems to slow down. If they already have my car in the shop and have looked at the tires why does it take another few hours to get the job done? I'm guessing cause i didn't want to pay for anything extra

Bolton Cadillac is a joke, do not deal here! - DGTL

Bolton Cadillac is a joke, do not deal here! John negotiated a price out to me on my trade in vehicle and when I said ok, lets do the deal... he ghosted me, then called the next day to say that they couldn't give me the negotiated number for my vehicle. He was extremely surprised when I said no, then started to take an intimidating tone over text after I said I was moving on. I may not have gotten a Cadillac, but I sure do love my new Lexus!
