IMPROPER VEHICLE INSPECTION The salesman, Joseph, worked hard to close the deal. Tyler helped locate spares to be included. Joseph reassured me the vehicle inspection was totally The salesman, Joseph, worked hard to close the deal. Tyler helped locate spares to be included. Joseph reassured me the vehicle inspection was totally trustworthy and insinuated that I could trust a fine upstanding dealership such as Western GMC Buick. I'm sure Joseph believed that to be true. I indicated my concern was the inspection looked like somebody sat at a desk and filled it out. The next day I drove back to the West end and took the vehicle for a third party inspection. On the way over I had to make one stop. I put the vehicle in neutral and pulled the park brake to the top. Once my foot was off the brake the vehicle quickly started rolling back. Not a great feeling from where I was sitting. The inspection found several other defects that were obviously not addressed during the dealership certified inspection. As my concern is with the overall inspection I will not address each item here. Given my experience, I will never return to the Western GMC Buick dealership and will most definitely let people know what happened. My question is, "Who is responsible for overseeing such incompetant and fraudulent inspections to be approved or ignored for the sake of profit over the safety and lives of customer's. Not to forget dealership staff who have to be inside those vehicles to make a living"? More
