Best Honda Dealership in Canada I reached out to Keith for pricing on a 2014 Honda Accord for my mother, despite him being in Calgary and us being in Edmonton. Why? He supports an online car forum for Honda enthusiasts and I figured that he would probably have very competitive pricing. Keith did not disappoint. He blew away the local dealers for base pricing and then added the required accessories (remote starter, mud flaps, block heater) at competitive prices as well. This was done entirely by email and his story and pricing never changed throughout. The first conversation he had on the phone was to take a refundable deposit on the car. My mother drove down the following weekend, wrote a cheque for the agreed-upon amount and drove away fully satisfied with the experience. What puts Keith and Honda West above the crowd? Yes, their prices are exceptional - we literally saved thousands over local dealers and, for most people, that's enough. However, it was their commitment to service and honouring their word that ultimately left us feeling fully appreciated. When they inspected the Accord we had agreed to buy, they realized it had upsized (ie, more expensive) wheels and tires. Did they raise the price? No (despite that being a reasonable change). Did they try and force options at the last minute? No. Did they try and cram in an extra fee or two at the last minute? No. Every number, every detail and every item was exactly as they agreed upon by email. This was a zero-pressure sale with them doing all the work and us only having to show up and write the cheque. Keith showed he was the consummate professional in his conduct and conversation. We will be buying from him again and have already referred one of our relatives to him when they decide to purchase a minivan. Don't waste time talking to other dealerships. Keith will give you the best price up front and you'll save yourself the hassle of listening to other dealerships talk about "impossible pricing" and "we could never match that price" and similar comments. Low prices, commitment to their word and excellent service will make you a customer for life. More

After talking to Jim, I knew immediately that this was the dealership I wanted to buy from - the honest up front prices, no pressure sales, and above and beyond service to find what I wanted for what price was exactly what I was looking for. When picking up my vehicle, Jim took the time to walk me through all of the features of my new vehicle - and it was his day off!!! I would definately recommend all those wanting to buy a Honda to come to Honda West. Thanks Jim! More

He did not promptly send the cheque to make up the balance of my previous "written off" car to the Honda Financial Services department after I purchased another used car from their branch. Over a month after making the purchase I got a call from Honda Financial Services saying that they had not received their cheque. As a result of not providing the proper documents in a timely manner to Honda Financial services I had to continue paying on two occasions for both my "written off" car and my new used car. I ended up paying for both my written off car and the new car at the same time which was stressful given I have other bills that need to be made. Gabe also informed Honda Financial Services that I would be providing them with a cheque for my "written off car" that was more than what I told Gabe I would be receiving. Therefore I was required to make up the difference. He was not prompt at calling me back when I called him regarding the phone call I received from Honda Financial Services - he said that he would contact them and that he will call back later in the day to follow up and then he doesn't call back at all and I have to make another phone call after waiting for several DAYS. If you say you are going to call someone back that day, call them back, otherwise don't say that you will. More

I felt very comfortable with the whole process and all the staff there I met were all happy and personable..they make you feel welcome so you just want to hang out there! In less than 2 months, my husband and I came to Honda West to purchase our Ridgeline last January 30 and again to purchase a 2014 CRV on March 11. It seems like going to Honda West has become a habit for my husband and I. You see my son is graduating from his degree next month and we promised him a car years and years ago but never materialized it. Finally when he announced that he will graduate this April we felt that it's time to deliver our promise. I called Majed on Monday, March 10 and explained my plan to surprise our son with a car. As usual, Majed with his knowledgeable, persuasive personality he asked me what colour I would like...black, white or silver. The following day, Tuesday, Peter Erasmus called me and assured me that he will try his best to work things out so that my dream of giving a car to my son will come true. By the way, Peter is one of the finest gentleman I've ever dealt with. He's professionalism is commendable and never takes our business for granted. On Wednesday, March 12, Peter met with us at his office and signed off the lease and BANG!!!! a CRV was born! It was that easy. It's almost like going for groceries and picking up the most beautiful red apple from the stand. I just can't find enough words to express my deepest gratitude to these people who have been so instrumental in helping us keep our promise to our son. On Thursday, my husband and I went for dinner with our son and his wife and he expressed that on Saturday, March 15 he was going to buy a second hand car which was privately advertised. I cringed upon hearing him because that was the day that we were going to pick up the car and surprise him with it. You see, when I talked to Majed about our plan of surprising our son with a car he really played along with us so well. So, I phoned Majed right away and instructed him to call my son and tell him not to be in a hurry to buy that car because he has something way better than what he was going to settle for. Thanks God he was able to convince my son to wait till Monday. Then on Saturday, March 15, we went to Honda West to pick up the CRV. We met with Jim Sarantis in place of Majed (I believe Majed was at the car show). Jim is a very friendly and amiable person. He made us feel so at home at Honda and we really appreciated that too. We also dealt with Matthew Baillie upon signing the papers. Great guy with an awesome personality. Very friendly and accommodating. He facilitated our purchase in no time. Thank you for that Matt. When we arrived to pick up the car, it was beautifully decorated with balloons, streamers and a big bow. (They thought that our son was coming with us to pick it up but the whole plan was to bring the car home to our garage and give the keys to our son). I was actually in tears when I saw how much effort and dedication these people put into our purchase. When we got to the show room, it felt like we were surrounded with our very own family. How much they made us feel special and honoured was beyond me. It's funny how after these two most recent purchases we had from Honda I tend to ask myself...What did we do to deserve such goodness from these people? I actually forgot that we gave them business but on the other hand, it was more personalized than any customer could ask for. Never even crossed my mind that I dealt with these people for business reasons. Thank you gentlemen. Honda West should be if not already one of the Best Managed Companies. You are so lucky to have these people working in your Team. If only other car dealerships were even half as good as Honda West, I probably would have tried other brands of cars...but on the other hand I wouldn't exchange this brand and these experiences with any other. i never intend to give my business to anyone else anymore. I recently needed some regular maintenance work done at Honda West. My service adviser, Jonathan Pinter was knowledgeable and friendly, taking the vehicle in promptly. He suggested some additional work that would ensure the reliability of my car, as he could see that I carried some precious cargo (I guess the child car seats gave him a hint). He explained why the work was necessary and made sure the costs stayed within my budget. I should mention that he gave me his full attention, even though the Canada - USA hockey game was on -and seemed to be a distraction for the entire country. My vehicle was ready on time, on budget and with only one surprise - it was cleaner than when I left it. It was a win win (& for Canada too). Thanks Jonathan - I will be back. More
