Unfortunately, Honda West must have an excellent reputation because all three cars that we were going to look at sold in less than 24 hours! Just to see how it felt to drive a Honda Civic, Jocelyn had me drive a demo. After talking with her about the prices we ended up purchasing a brand new 2014 Honda Civic must to my delight! Gabe was great in finance to get us rolling and Peter in finance was wonderful to us when we arrived to pick up our car a week later to finish up our paper work. Was it worth the two hours drive to buy a car - yes it was. Price did not compare to what we had been looking at in our own area and the service we received was excellent. More

Fun new 2015 Fit Needed a small commuter/getting around the city car. Fit is very spacious for a small family of four with the large dog in the back. Great control on the slippery Calgary streets with a great set of winter tires installed when we picked up the car. Right side camera for blind spot checks very effective. Absolute pleasure to fill up the tank and stop around $35 (instead of >$55 with previous vehicles for the same kilometers). Significant delays on the delivery date but the dealership was apologetic and ensured that we drove away feeling that they understood that we were inconvenienced. After test driving the Fit and Civic ....and then to another dealer to test drive another vehicle...I came back to Honda West. They made me feel at ease and comfortable. Not like I was just a number in a store. I bought the car I wanted and was not oversold on any extras that I did not need. There was no pressure and Matt (finance) helped me go through the options to get the best deal. Once the car was ready for pick up Paul took the time to walk me through the features of the car...and also said to call back if I ever needed any help! I would highly recommend Honda West and if I need another call....I will be coming back! More

A bumpy but overall good purchase of a 2015 CRV I went in to buy a 2015 CRV, and it was a good, but not perfect experience. I never fought for a great price on my previous car purchase years ago, I went in to buy a 2015 CRV, and it was a good, but not perfect experience. I never fought for a great price on my previous car purchase years ago, but this time I needed to do my due diligence. I didn't want to play games and asked them to offer their best price given I was long-standing customer of their dealership. I took that offer and shopped around and started receiving quotes that were superior right off the bat. So unfortunately I did have to do the dealership song-and-dance I wanted to avoid, to bring the price down, but the good news is that in the end Honda West did gave me a price that couldn't be beat. However, a frustrating thing emerged during those negotiations. Honda West has been offering 'Dealer Rewards' - credit for bringing in your Honda for service - for the past couple of years, but despite years of bringing my car in for service, they told me I had $0 of rewards. It turns out enrolment in this program is not automatic, and because I never knew about it, I was never participating in it. A rough estimate tells me I would have had a couple hundred dollars of credit I could have used on my CRV purchase had I known about it. This was quite frustrating, but ultimately I have no rewards anywhere else and Honda West did offer me the best price in the end. But I'd be a happier customer had I received that reward credit that I should have always had. The only other disappointment in my experience was being given a date to pick up the CRV, only to arrive to a vehicle that was hadn't had all its accessories added. They didn't let me know prior to my arrival that it wasn't ready, so I had to take it as it was and come back at a later date to have them install the remaining accessories. Not the end of the world by any means, but it was a drag to come back to the dealership yet again to have work done on my new vehicle. But, on a final positive note, I was called a week after purchase to tell me they had a cheque waiting for me. Their $500 cash holiday promotion kicked in and honoured their price-matching and extended that deal to me, without me having to tell them. Very nice. So overall, it wasn't a perfect experience, but I'll continue to make them the a dealership I work with in the future as the staff was friendly, the price was ultimately good, and they've kept my previous car in ship-shape. More

Sales Representative Ryan Bardgett and Financial Manager Matthew Baillie were extremely friendly and respectful. We were deciding for the purchase of our first Van (we have an honda accord and with the family newborn we decided we needed more space!), and Ryan from the start got us a very good deal. We made a deposit and in a term of a week we made many questions to Ryan, who always replied and assist us immediately. The same with Mr Baillie , who offered to us the best rate in the market (we did our research with other dealers and all of them were surprised of the low Honda West rate we were offered) At the end we could not conclude the purchase for other issues, but we are sure we will be back to Honda West for whenever we are ready fto purchase our first Van! ...almost forgot to mention: Honda West returned the deposit back to us with no delay, straightforward people, honest, sincere...the kind you wont find easily these days! I had never met her, but did get a chance to speak with her over the phone when she contacted me to let me know that the vehicle was ready for pick up. As my schedule is quite hectic, it was difficult for us to find a day and time that would work for both of us. Jocelyn said that she would rearrange her schedule to meet with me and deliver me my new car. Though we have never officially met, Jocelyn found a way to know what I looked like so that she could greet me as soon as I walked into the showroom, that is First Class! Jocelyn then proceeded to take me through the vehicle features, explaining how everything worked, and all the while being extremely patient answering my many questions. At the end of it, there was a slight request regarding a license plate question and instead of saying "no" or "that's just how it is" Jocelyn offered to see what she could do to accommodate me, amazing! This has been my first and only experience with Honda West thus far, but I have to tell you I am looking forward to a very long relationship with this dealership and with Jocelyn Barton! More
