Water in Taillights We bought a 2010 Honda Odyssey and in 2012 had the taillight replaced under warranty, as it was full of water. It has been filling up with water again We bought a 2010 Honda Odyssey and in 2012 had the taillight replaced under warranty, as it was full of water. It has been filling up with water again over the last year. When we called and left a message asking about this, no one returned our call. From an online forum this seems to be a problem that many Honda Odyssey owners have struggled with. When I drove to the dealership, as no one had returned our call, I was told the taillight was 5 years old and they seemed incredulous that I would think a taillight should last for more than 5 years! Well I do think a taillight, fixed on warranty should last more than 5 years and I think a price tag of over $500 is ridiculous! December 11th update: We had the opportunity to further work with Bob at the Honda West service centre and they took a look at the rear lights on the van at no cost, which was appreciated. Though the final solution that we mutually agreed upon was not ideal, which was drilling small holes in the rear light to allow for drainage, it was inexpensive and may fix the problem.
