Jake was great, manager not so much I saw an ad on Kijiji for a used GMC cargo van at HondaWest. I went there and did a test drive with a salesperson named Jake who normally sells new ve I saw an ad on Kijiji for a used GMC cargo van at HondaWest. I went there and did a test drive with a salesperson named Jake who normally sells new vehicles not used (it was busy). Jake was great and answered all my questions the best he could. Since he usually sells new Honda's, he understandably did not know everything about the van. He was very polite and courteous. We talked about me maybe leaving a $500 deposit to hold the van for a couple of days. He said that should be fine, and the deposit would be fully refundable if I decided not to purchase it. We also chatted about if I could take the van to my mechanic for a quick inspection. It was a pleasant test drive and I liked the van. I called my mechanic and he decided to come to HondaWest and inspect the van there. I told Jake this was the plan, and we all met back at Honda West later that afternoon. Jake was nice enough to let my mechanic and I do another quick 10 minute test drive. When we got back to HondaWest, I asked to put a $500 deposit on the van to hold it for a couple of days. He said sure, I'll go get the used vehicle manager and you can set that up with him. When the manager came and spoke to me about the van, my positive experience went south. He said "we don't take deposits on used vehicles. If you want the van you should buy it now. Take it home tonight and show it to your spouse. If you both decide you don't want it, bring it back and we'll refund the money." I explained I was not comfortable doing this. He then went into high pressure sales tactics. There is a lot of demand for this van and it will sell fast he said. If you don't buy it now I can't guarantee that it will be here tomorrow. At that point I stood up and said I'm not buying the van without talking to my family about it first. I may come back in a few days. If it sells it sells and I started to walk out. As I was leaving he followed me to the door and said "OK, OK, if someone else is interested in it we'll give you a call". I did end making an appointment the following weekend with Jake and purchased the van. That experience was much better and I didn't need to deal with a manager. Jake took care of everything and had a new plate on there for me by the time I finished paying. Overall it was a good experience other then the manager not willing to take a deposit and hold the van for me. More

I wasn't in a rush so I had given my "wish list" to Jim Sarantis (our salesman there) and within a week he found the exact vehicle I was looking for!! Jim is an excellent person to deal with and makes the entire car buying process easy. This isn't the first car we've gotten through Honda West and it won't be the last. Jim went above and beyond to make the entire process smooth and personal, including facilitating a show room delivery, bow included! He is straight-forward, responsive and made our son’s first car experience a lifetime memory. He did such an amazing job walking our son through the vehicle (not sure how much he retained, he was so excited). I also wanted to give a shout out to Joubert and Cole who both were a pleasure to deal with. Their whole process was like clockwork and they are both very personable to deal with. We are long time Honda and Honda West customers and now I expect our son will be too thanks to their excellent staff. More

Effortless and stress-free car shopping I recently purchased a 2019 CRV-EXL from Honda West. I generally knew what I wanted going into the dealership, but the process of making that idea a r I recently purchased a 2019 CRV-EXL from Honda West. I generally knew what I wanted going into the dealership, but the process of making that idea a reality was much easier than expected. The sales associate, Jim Sarantis, was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the CRVs and was able to help me choose the perfect trim-type and colour that I wanted at a fair and reasonable price. Financing and delivery of my new vehicle, as well as the trade-in of my old Honda Civic, were also efficient, organized, and stress-free processes. Honda West runs like a well-oiled machine and as long as they keep my new car running as smoothly as they do, I will continue to recommend them and do business with them in the future. More

Colin, Kirsten, Desiree and a really great guy whose name I can't remember right now (he checks in The Service Dept. at Honda West is really special. Colin, Kirsten, Desiree and a really great guy whose name I can't remember right now (he checks in the cars, fills washer fluid etc.) really are a great team. Any time I have had a problem, and I have had a couple of unexpected things happen lately, they have been so very helpful, kind and understanding. If there are options how to fix the problem, they will explain those clearly and give the price (if choice is an option). Each time the repair was done as quickly as possible- for which I'm VERY APPRECIATIVE and GRATEFUL.. The price was/is always fair. The car was ready for pick up when I was told it would be. Last but not least, for me it is so important and such a comfort to know I can come to the Service Dept. with whatever problem my car has, the problem wi ll be looked at and dealt with as quickly as possible. The price will be fair. The car will be ready when promised and life can go back to normal. That kind of service for me is precious . UNETHICAL and uneducated sales staff I purchases a used minivan from Honda West, I was so excited to pick it up and I was driving off the lot - boom, transmission blown. They offered to find me another van that met my criteria but instead, they took me for a ride. Sold me a van with a bench seat (no stow and go capabilities) and point blank LIED to me saying 'yes you can stow the middle seat' and 'it just pops out if you want to put captain seats in'both of these statements are lies and have caused me so much grief. I'm currently struggling because fitting 2 car seats on a bench seat is impossible. I brought this to the attention of the manager and i was told 'that's unfortunate - we can sell you another van' which I found appalling. In addition to all of this garbage, the dealership pulled my credit FIVE times despite being approved with the first lender and then royally ripped me off on the price because they knew I needed a vehicle for my little ones right away. On the whole, these people are morally reprehensible, do yourself a favor and GO ELSEWHERE! More
