Friendly, Fast & Efficient Prospective car buyers should do a bit of research on the type of vehicle, (compact:midsize:full or car vs SUV vs truck, economy vs performance and so Prospective car buyers should do a bit of research on the type of vehicle, (compact:midsize:full or car vs SUV vs truck, economy vs performance and so on) so you are not totally clueless. So assuming you have some idea of what you want, you know what questions you'd like to ask that you couldn't find in your research and hopefully the staff at the more effective dealerships can provide you with the answer and also more. For, Clarkdale I could get an answer but the "more" or complete answer was at times not within the person's knowledge base. Case in point, at Subaru the staff I experienced was so knowledgeable that he not only could answer your question but follow up by providing additional information related to my question that I hadn't asked and were either of interest or important. This isn't because of age as I dealt with staff both in their mid 30's. Its either a matter of training or interest, by the staff. Likely both. Had the inventory at Subaru been available, I would have likely picked them, since they "sold" their product more effectively, even though I've always wanted a Rabbit/Golf. I'm not referring to hard sales, nothing could be further from the situation. The Subaru experience was insightful, positive and thoroughly enjoyable. Clarkdale has a solid team and I experienced a smooth end to end process when working with the salesman, the finance manager, insurance rep (ICBC) and the vehicle delivery specialist. One small observation, is that indoor garage facilities are somewhat limited and on picking up my vehicle, the outside did suffer from looking a tad dusty. The honeycomb front grill on the GTI is a dust and dirt trap, and it was rather dirty not with surface dirt but was clearly on there for a while and hadn't been cleaned effectively. Small bits of protective plastic covering the vehicle could be found but, its no big deal but it was rather surprising to see it wasn't looking as well as other cars I had purchased in the past such as Mazda, Toyota, SAAB, BMV, & Audi. Not a big deal, but the experience is what separates a solid dealership experience from a memorable one. That all said the people are extremely nice and friendly, so its all good. You asked for a review, so I'm only trying to offer constructive criticism to help you see, my opinion on where the gaps are between yourselves today and where you might consider moving towards. More
