Had a very pleasurable experience purchasing a new VW Tiguan from Clarkdale. Lucas Beck was quick to respond to my questions and the staff at Clarkdale was very friendly and helpful. Andre Jelescu was friendly and approachable and greeted us as soon as we were ready to talk, after exploring the showroom for a bit, checking out the nice CC model. He took the time to explain the various features and differences between the new Jetta models and even had us test drive 3 different models in a short time to help us make an informed decision. Compared to the Honda dealer we visited, however, the emphasis on green and safety features was less, even when prompted. More research and prep time may have to be spent on that in future in order to properly address customer's questions and concerns. There was an issue with a trucking strike which meant it took two weeks to get the vehicle into the dealership, even with a rush on it. They warned us ahead of time that it would take that long, I just wish the unavoidable could have been prevented. That being said, it may have taken that long under normal circumstances, and the sales team were apologetic for something that was out of their control. As I was renting a vehicle I appreciated them helping me avoid incurring extra costs associated with it. More proactive updates would be nice in future please, that is, emailing or calling the customer to let them know what is happening and what is being done to expedite the process while doing it, rather than waiting for the customer to call in themselves to ask for an update. A minor thing, but that would be taking it from A to A+ service. Upon delivery, because it was late in the day, less time was spent going over all the features, but this was acceptable as it would have been too tiring otherwise, and follow-up help/support by phone and email was offered by Andrei. I love my new 2011 Jetta Highline with all the bells and whistles! It feels like I am driving a space age vehicle out of the movie TRON! Thank you for the redesign, VW! I would have liked to know more about the available accessories, in particular chrome exhaust additions and bike racks/snowboard roof racks, and winter wheels. I did get rubber mats and a cargo space organizer, not sure if that is normally included but it was a nice finishing touch! Thank you Andrei, and Clarkdale! More

We were surprised to find the passenger side mirror base cracked and the finish on the hood scratched as if the buffer had grit in it. With the mirror replaced and car buffed, things look pretty good, but I am really still concerned with the finish. I see that in the warranty that the finish is covered if I'm not satisfied, and I intend to pursue this. Had I noticed this flaw initially, the price may have been lowered, or the finish fixed. Also, as this was a cash purchase, I think there should have been a price reduction, but we were told this is not VW policy, unlike other car brands. I found the final part of the purchase with the finance person stressful, especially since we were encouraged to buy more coverage on the finish and the undercoating when this had already been done. Further warranty coverange was pressed upon us which we didn't purchase. Then the topic of this assessment came up, and concern about what I might say in the ratings of one to ten was questioned. I said I didn't want to talk about that, just wanted to purchase the car. Another concern was the story on the previous owner, which changed from a little old lady, to an Asian man. Possibly typical of car buying experience. On our drive back to the coast we found the windshield wipers to be blurry and squeaky. We will have to go into the dealer in Nanaimo to address this problem. It is surprising that windshield wipers aren't a priority in our climate. Our salesperson was quite friendly, and helpful and was instrumental in finding out that finish and undercoating were already covered. Lucas had things promptly fixed. The vehicle is a dream to drive. It's comfortable and suits our needs. Everything was "OK" despite the hassles. More
Andrei has an ease about him that provides a good level of comfort to the client. This will only improve with more sales and interaction as the ease sometimes comes off as lack of knowledge. I just purchased an new 2011 Touareg from Clarkdale on 4575 Main Street Vancouver. I worked with Adham Momen as my sales guy and he was excellent. I had a very poor exerience at a previous volkswagen dealer. I really liked the car but the salesman treated me very poorly. So I tried the Clarkdale dealership. I have given Sara and Kevin at Clarkdale VW this rating because they provided the best possible customer service for me. After having many problems with a 2008 GTI (not purchased from Clarkdale) Kevin was because they provided the best possible customer service for me. After having many problems with a 2008 GTI (not purchased from Clarkdale) Kevin was very accommodating to try to get my car fixed. After talking with Kevin and Sara about getting into a new 2011 GTI, Sara was very quick to find me the car I wanted. She had all the details worked out and made it very easy to switch cars. After getting a great deal she went above and beyond and thew in rubber floor mats. Sara and Kevin went the extra mile to help me out and provided excellent customer service, I will continue to recommend Clarkdale to friends and family. See ya for my next service! More
I popped in the dealership to get an oil change initially. I went back a second time for a problem with one of my lights. I was browsing around the showroom and met Sara and she was great, we got c initially. I went back a second time for a problem with one of my lights. I was browsing around the showroom and met Sara and she was great, we got chatting about the TDI and it's fuel consumption and even though I was not buying immediately, took the time to show me a car explain the features and benefits that would suit my lifestyle. She even took the time to build and price the vehicle I wanted. I wish I had visited clarkdale when buying my car as I would have got the exact vehicle I needed. I feel that these guys were true professionals and I am now in the process of selling my other car privately and using the money towards the TDI Golf. I will certainly be coming back soon I hope. I have to mention how great the service department was in regards to making sure the problem was fixed and Devon even followed up to make sure all was well a few days later. This really is a great dealership with friendly staff all around. More
I had an annual service done last month and some seals serviced on my EOS convertible. There were some problems when I got the car back. I called Kevin (the service manager) and he arranged to give me a serviced on my EOS convertible. There were some problems when I got the car back. I called Kevin (the service manager) and he arranged to give me a loaner car (I think it was even his own!) and get the problems fixed right away. They even buffed out a scuff out of my passenger side door for me at the same time. Kevin is a great guy to work with. He totally gets it. This is not the first time I have had exceptional service from Kevin. There are often problems in life, but it is how the dealership handles it that makes you feel good or bad about your experience with them. He is a professional who gets my vote. Mandy Clark More

He was running back and forth on the parking lot (heavy snowing at that moment) try to get the car that I was looking for. On the pricing, I think he provided a very good deal to me which is over what I expected. I got a extremely tight schedule on the day that I pickup the car. Lucas and his team willing to work around with a lot of thing (docs, checking car, ...) to accommodate my schedule. The whole experience is excellent. Thank you! More
