When we finally agreed on a price I was willing to make the drive from Niagara to Toronto. I asked him to send me all the pricing in an email. I printed this up and my wife and I headed to Toronto. When it came time to sign the paper work I noticed the total price was $11,000 more than we agreed on. It was way more than the price advertised on auto trader. Oops he said. Then they adjusted the price to $5,600 more than we agreed on . My wife and I finally caved and ended up paying just over $1700 more than the price he told me was a mistake. I would love to know how often this happens. There would have been plenty of high fives in the office if our new car excitement had caused us to sign the contract without double checking. we could have easily paid $11,000 more if we were only looking at the bi weekly payments. My wife and I try to be careful but still we were mislead. If my son or daughter bought there first car and fell for this scam I would feel terrible. Please check every number before you sign.
