Our new 2012 Dodge Journey broke down on Friday evening - just before the long weekend. My husband and I have called the road assistance for towing and they were very helpful. George was so helpful and assured me that the car would be fixed after the long weekend - the following business day - and it was! I started off by calling Neil and setting an appointment to service my newly purchased (second hand) Jeep which I bought from another dealer (in Ottawa). I also asked him to check the tire pressure and the to service my newly purchased (second hand) Jeep which I bought from another dealer (in Ottawa). I also asked him to check the tire pressure and the sensors since the "low tire pressure" sign was flashing. {Side note: The Ottawa dealer assured me that this is a small matter and it would be covered under the warranty so I took his word for it and moved to Toronto in the next 2 days}. After thorough investigations, it was apparent that all tire sensors were not the stock ones that usually come with the car. For this reason, the sensors would not be covered under my warranty. The cost of replacing the sensors is $180 PER SENSOR. Neil worked his magic and got me one sensor for free and agreed to cover half the cost for the other sensors. He recommended that I call the Ottawa dealer and ask them to cover the other half. I had leverage at this point since the car was under the 30 day grace period. The Ottawa dealer contacted Neil and tried to strike a deal that would basically put me at a disadvantage (I either drive back to Ottawa to fix it or basically fix it out of my own pocket). Neil would not have any of it and insisted that this is not a reasonable proposition. The Ottawa dealer then tried to buy some time in order to pass the 30 day grace period. Neil then explained to me that I had filed a complaint in a legitimate dealership within the 30 day period so legally I am covered. Bottom line is, if you want an honest person to look after you, the customer, go with Neil. The icing on the cake is his friendliness and great social skills. 6/5 stars More
I was not notified about the $3 environmental fee. It jacked up the price on the final bill. Next time,the dealer has to inform all fees and charges before booking an appointment. Wish I read the online reviews before I went here in the first place!! Took in car to check engine was making noise. turned out it was defective since the start, just got worse. Service said they've never seen anything like it, then when I didn't have oil change paperwork that they wanted me to drive to brampton chrysler to pick them up and bring them to Team Chrsyler, i just dropped off my car and went to work wasnt about to drive around town again then back to Brampton. I told them not to do the warranty work I would just take it to brampton to get done and please do not touch my jeep. They then proceeded to take the engine apart, send pics to Chrysler Canada and say that because I once got an oil change at Canadian tire the warranty should be voided Can Tire must've started the car with no oil! ya right! and we would have to pay for a new engine. obviously Team Chrysler were upset they weren't going to get paid for the warranty work and decided to try to ensure that we would get stuck paying for it, even though the issue was unlike anything they've seen, according to the mechanic,said it was because we didnt do oil changes then since we had records, changed to blaming Can Tire. meanwhile, the engine was making that noise before Can Tire, and the only other places we ever got the oil changed was at Team Chrsyler and Dixie Chrysler.It took us more than two months of fighting and getting another Chrysler dealership involved and on our side in order to finally get the engine replaced on the brand new Jeep I bought 2 years before that was under 50,000kms! I used to take all our Chrysler vehciles here for oil changes,totally out of our way and by the way we buy a new Chrysler car every 2-3 years,(ill admit never bought from Team Chrysler- good thing) you'd think they would treat loyal service customers who have no history of being abusive to their vehicles better! Shame on team Chrysler. This is not how you do business. Do yourself a favor and TAKE YOUR CAR ANYWHERE ELSE!! More
