Our current purchase experience involved a trade-in; we ran into a "glitch" at this end of the transaction but Joe & Rich were very professional and friendly while we ironed out the details and we came to an agreement which satisfied all! We would also like to mention Rob who explained extended warranties, coverages, reviewed bill of sale, etc.; he also offered exemplary customer service with his knowledge and professional friendly manner. I arrived at this dealership wanting to trade my 2012 Chrysler car in for a Dodge Truck. My Salesman was Winston who I have dealt when I purchased the car and has ALWAYS gone the extra mile to help me o Chrysler car in for a Dodge Truck. From here I dealt with Brandon and Karl who assisted in the closing of the purchase. Some issues surfaced with the Truck that I contacted Mr. Bourk Boyd to help resolved. Mr. Boyd EXCEEDED my expectations and is definetly concerned with the customer and a "Man of his word." Mr. Boyd- owner stands behind his beliefs in customer service and his company. Purchased a used minivan from Zain at Team - with trade in of our old CRV. Positives: -Zain and Moe were very friendly and personable. Zain is a very genuine person. Refreshingly, he breaks the "used car salesman" stereotype. -After some customer service concerns, Zain and Moe made sincere efforts to address my concerns and made efforts to restore my client experience. -What stood out most for customer service was the fact that Zain personally drove to my home to allow my husband to sign our closing documents. My husband had a broken leg and was unable to make the trip to the dealer a second time to close the deal. That was an outstanding gesture in my mind, and is the reason why I would recommend him to someone now. -We are truly satisfied with the vehicle we purchased. We feel we got a fair price, and it is a good product. I have been driving Honda vehicles for 15 years, this is my first domestic vehicle. Dodge has done a good job of creating a product that matches my needs at a competitive price point. Negatives: -Lack of clear communication to the client. Specifically, we were told during negotiations that the numbers presented were based on 4.99% financing. It was not until I got home and was reviewing my bill of sale that I noticed the rate I actually purchased at was 6.99%. This was not reviewed with me at the time of purchase. There was no explanation for this when we were closing the deal. Both my husband and I were quite upset, having been left with the feeling of being "bamboozled". We called Zain and we explained the finding to him. He seemed a little surprised and said he would check into it for us. He called back to explain that because of the overall amount of the loan being "low", the bank would only give us a 6.99% rate. I thanked him for the explanation, but expressed my disappointment that this had not been clearly explained to me at the time of relevance- when we were closing the deal. That is important information when you are negotiating a purchase of a used vehicle. Moe called me afterward, and reiterated the reason for the rate change. I explained my issue about lack of clear communication at the critical moment of "sealing the deal". Moe understood my concern, and made the gesture of lowering the cost of a 2 year extended warranty to compensate for the "extra" interest I would be paying. This was a fair offer. Unfortunately, I found another example of lack of communication when I went to pick up my vehicle and found the updated bill of sale. This showed the full amount for the extended warranty, with a new interest rate of 4.99%.. I enquired with Zain, who confirmed that since we had added the extended warranty, we were now eligible for the 4.99% rate as the overall amount of the loan had gone up just enough for the bank to offer the lower rate. Again, I had to "stumble" on this on the bill of sale. It wasn't as Moe had agreed the night before, but at the end of the day, we got the lower rate, and I guess it took us committing to a 2 year warranty "extra" to get it. Moe did not give us any discount on the warranty after all. No direct explanation, I had to guess, and eventually, Zain and I figured we didn't get the agreed discount because we ended up getting the 4.99% after all. Clear communication with your client is absolutely critical- especially in the business of dealing new and used vehicles. I need to trust my dealer, and this is the type of situation that completely shatters trust for me. -Negotiation process was not great. I really felt that the process they set up at Team disempowers the actual dealer, Zain. He seemed to have no authority to negotiate with me directly. He would take the offers back and forth to the "mystery negotiator" for approval etc. I negotiate daily in my job, and one of the key factors to a solid negotiation is building rapport and trust. I honestly didn't even know who I was negotiating with in this case. You should empower your dealer to make the deal themselves. Give him a range to work from and empower him to work the deal directly with me. I have never had this kind of experience in a negotiation before. If I had to call up someone at head office for every step of a negotiation in my job, I would look like a fool, and and no one I was negotiating with would take me seriously. I felt bad for Zain. This process does not empower him, and makes his clients lose their rapport/trust investment in him. Overall, I would recommend Team, but that is mostly because of the sincerity and genuine efforts Zain made to help me. I think there is a lot that could be easily coached back to the sales team, and I think a good look at the negotiation process they employ should be done. I didn't trust it, and I didn't like the way I felt as a client negotiating in this manner. I actually felt like I was dealing with the "banker" up in the booth playing that game "deal or no deal". That's not how a negotiation should go. I, the client, felt bad for Zain. He should have authority to negotiate directly. More
from my first phone call to MAGDY , and all the steps leading up to the final day we picked my sons new truck up . Magdy looked after us, kept in touch with us and in general was just a great guy . he gave us a fair price for a trade in and a great price on my sons new truck, when I asked him on the phone what shape the truck was in, he said great shape. when we came to look at it we were not disappointed! on the day we came in to pick up the new truck, everything was ready to go, plates on , interior cleaned and exterior washed. every detail was looked after for us by MAGDY. Also a very big thanks to Brandon who spent a lot of time organizing and searching to get my son a great deal on financing. once again he went above and beyond what any dealer would have done for us truly a great dealership. this will not be my last purchase from TEAM CHRYSLER. thanks to the great experience we had there.
