I’ve read some bad reviews and stories about Subaru Calgary and was actually hesitant about purchasing a vehicle from there due to those comments, however, my experience with Subaru Calgary was amazing Calgary and was actually hesitant about purchasing a vehicle from there due to those comments, however, my experience with Subaru Calgary was amazing! Giovanni, Basil, Tariq, and Nisar were all extremely knowledgeable, accommodating, and made the car buying experience truly memorable. They were open and honest about the price and fees, went out of their way to meet our busy schedule, and took the time to clearly answer the millions of questions I asked. The car looked immaculate when I picked it up and Tariq spent the time to go through each and every feature in detail. Thanks for getting me into my dream car and making it a wonderful experience! Our very old Forester died on us and we needed a new one right away. Walked into Subaru of Calgary on Thursday and spoke to Piyush Kohu, he showed us the new Forester models, answered all our questions, and right away. Walked into Subaru of Calgary on Thursday and spoke to Piyush Kohu, he showed us the new Forester models, answered all our questions, and set up a test drive. Friday he introduced us to James Sivadas, who walked us through all the finance options and details. Tuesday we drove our beautiful brand new 2021 Sport Forester with all the options we wanted home. They don't even deserve one starI love Subaru Cars but They don't even deserve one star I love Subaru Cars but make sure before you take home your car that if you encountered some mechanical issues and They don't even deserve one star I love Subaru Cars but make sure before you take home your car that if you encountered some mechanical issues and need their services, that there are really Professional people who you can rely and trust that your best interest is their priority and that they are knowledgeable and really know how to fix your car because this is not just a one time transaction. They will be nice to you because they are selling and need you but once you need them for their service, their true color will show. 2020 I brought my car at Subaru Calgary for AC is not working and paid for diagnostic test (150CAD) and they suggested to replace the compressor and quoted me an estimated price of $1597 and a service person on the phone even suggested that I could take it somewhere to save some money. Since I just had a major surgery and under EI for weeks I decided to postponed the repair. And so this year to save some money, I asked my friend who is working at Hyundai Service Center and told him it only needs to replace the compressor as per Subaru which he did replace for 900CAD but still AC did not work and he suggested me to take it to Subaru for which I did. So now I spoke with SAM LAKHU of what happened and he said they need to check again the car and start from zero since I brought the car elsewhere. I paid again for another diagnostic test for 300CAD and then it came out another parts needs to be replace again which is the ECM for almost $1300 for they said it was tampered. So I asked SAM of how much I am going to spend in total just in case I agreed to change the ECM he said it will be only the labor to install for $225. I asked him so many times if he can guarantee me that after this issue and once the ECM is replaced the AC will be working and no more additional charges. Sarcastically SAM said 99% for he said he can't give me 100% for he is not God. I agreed and paid the parts and fully trusting SAMs word that they can fix it once the ECM is replaced. After almost a month of waiting I followed up if the parts are already there but SAM keep on telling me he will call me as soon as the parts arrive, I told him I spoke with someone when he was off and she gave me an estimated date of the arrival of the parts which works for my plan before July 1 for the long weekend. After complaining to Paul, SAM called me to bring the car and he said he is doing me a favor that he will get some other customers order to put in my car. Can't complain on that. So I drop my car early in the morning and hoping I can get my car on the same day with AC fixed and working but he said they need more time so they let me use a loaner car with 5K damage and collision deductible. After weeks of follow up he said they need to replace the Expansion Valve and it will only cost me 190cad and he will ask his manager for a discount and so they charged me 170cad and after week again they said they need to replace the Evaporator Sensor for $1600cad plus the 7 hours of labor to replace it,for which I said I don't have the money to pay for that anymore and he guaranteed that after ECM AC will worked. I was really upset and spoke with Paul Dimakis but he keep on insisting and blaming me because I brought the car elsewhere and that the ECM was tampered and that the compressor that Hyundai put in was not compatible with my car which I said SAM never mentioned it before I agreed to change the ECM and it’s not the compressor that they are changing now. I really can't help but cry after talking to Paul cause I know I have to rest my case and no use to discuss this issue with him and I will take this 100% to God for he knows what they did to me. So I end up losing my hard earned money and drove home upset and still no AC. A really professional and very good mechanic knows how complicated and how expensive to replace the car AC and he will refuse to work and do the job and know if its worth spending that much knowing my car is old. My car is 2009 Subaru Forester which I bought it from them as well for 10K used and i only used 5000km since Sept 2018 and not sure either if AC was working it was not disclosed and missed to check it on my part. This incident was so stressful to me and I have trouble sleeping which is not very good specially in my health condition. I sacrificed a lot and really worked hard for that money so I can drive comfortably going to my doctors appointment and treatment and this is what they did to me. I went to this dealership in good faith hoping that these people who works here I can rely and trust but I was wrong. This experienced was really a big lesson for me. Read reviews and you can’t trust anyone specially if there’s money involved. It sad but it’s very true This Dealership ….they only want your money. These people can't be trusted and no integrity. More
