Misleading and or ineffective diagostics part 1. This is a 2 part review. Episode/part 1: In Oct 2017 had issues with 4X4 not engaging and other electrical issues on my 2007 Dodge 1500 TRX4. Diagnos This is a 2 part review. Episode/part 1: In Oct 2017 had issues with 4X4 not engaging and other electrical issues on my 2007 Dodge 1500 TRX4. Diagnosed as a faulty TIPM and a bad shift motor. Had dealer replace TIPM @ $1400 and did the shift motor privately for $800 with a non OEM motor. Everything was running fine up until a month ago. 4X4 quit engaging and truck wouldn't turn over. Power window would work intermittently. Had to disconnect and reconnect battery cable to get truck to start. All same issues as before when the TIPM went out. At service appt was informed by Donavan and the tech that the issues were all separate and not related to the TIPM (or unable to validate faulty TIPM). After paying the $100 on diagnostics picked up the truck and conceded it wasn't worth another $2000-$3000 to fix the issues again given the truck age/mileage. Thankfully wife was more persistent. She found multiple issues online about bad TIPMs and some service bulletins. Really Dodge should own up to a recall. 4X4 showing engaged and not actually engaged could result in serious safety issues. After reviewing the online information she took the truck back to Southtown to discuss. Manager became involved, pulled all the service records with the VIN# and turned out it was now the 4th time the shift motor had failed. Manager approved another TIPM and the shift motor at no charge. Waiting on those repairs. So this time it's up to 5 shift motors for the 4X4. I've serviced this vehicle at Southtown quite regularly and have always been satisfied with the service. I felt this time our service consultant and technician were being misleading on diagnostics this time knowing that the shift motor had multiple fails. They discounted it wasn't a faulty TIPM again. Will provide an update to the rating off 2nd service call when we get the vehicle back. I do empathize with the dealer. The online issues that have been recorded with these TIPM's puts Dodge in a poor regard in not standing behind their trucks and quality. Failing to issue a recall and/or providing a method to solve the problem TIPMs leaves their dealers to mop up the after effects. Will be in the market for a replacement vehicle shortly. Verdict is still out that Dodge will be at the top of my list as a replacement brand. More

Not impressed with Finance Dept. at 4:00, I was told to go to Registration and a Bank or I could not take possession of the Truck.. Beware of FINANCE pulling a fast one! Horrible service . Especially Jordan, part of the backhanded, lying finance department who purposely held onto check to pay out previous vehicle loan for almost 3 weeks after they should have paid it out, just to screw me over for calling them on their xxxxxxxx they tried to pull on bill of sale. As a result, my previous vehicle had missed payments and service charges that I only recovered after I had my bank prove the dealership's wrongdoing. I will never buy from here again despite sales staff being amazing; dealing with the finance nightmare for over a month and it affecting my credit is enough for me to write this review and warn potential customers. Go to a different dealership. The finance department will screw you and their manager will just try to cover their tracks. More

Bought a new Jeep GT was awesome in sales to deal with as well as the manager Gary who supported GT through the process. My only comment would be for finance to smile- we were paying cash and it appeared the finance lady could not push us out the door fast enough. no small talk there....all business, and we felt like she was wasting her time with us,. This should however detract from the wonderful service provided by GT and Gary- through the initial process. I would give this 5 stars across the board- with the exception of the finance lady- I would give 2 on friendliness More
They do not give complete information Everytime I go to this dealer I have a problem with them and the information they provide. I ended up paying almost a thousand dollars on a service when it was supposed to be around 300 or 400 and they didn't even mention how much it was going to be until the end when I had to pay that amount. I had to take a rental car from them and they never mentioned about having to pay a fee for the car based on my age. Well, once again, I had to pay for something they never mentioned. The customer service from the people in the car rental section is terrible. I had this lady with an accent that apparently she was new but she had to idea what she was doing and she didn't even pretend like she cared. She would not do something to solve my problems and she kept delaying my calls and concerns for almost a week until I got really upset and had to talk to somebody else. I do not like the service and the attention this dealer has towards their clients. More

I also asked for 2 things a tow package installed and a set of winter tires and rims.simple.a week later the tires are not even ordered.the hitch is not don either..but for 4 days they told me the hitch is done.the tires are here.all there waiting for is the brakes to be done.cause now they failed inspection.its a used van with 50000 Kms. A week ago when we bought it the salesman said the van was ready go.all inspections were done .they lied to us every time I called to see what was the hold up.i wouldn't buy a wheelbarrow from Southtown Chrysler Edmonton More
