Unnecessary work performed I brought my vehicle in for it's regularly scheduled maintenance. I reviewed the maintenance manual for the work to be performed and many of them were I brought my vehicle in for it's regularly scheduled maintenance. I reviewed the maintenance manual for the work to be performed and many of them were superfluous. I shared my concerns that I would be charged for unnecessary work and their response was that "it was required by warranty." Now, I understand that the required fluid changes will have an impact on the longevity of the vehicle. I am happy to have the fluids changed. But, as an example, when they insist on me paying them to rotate the tires on my *winter* vehicle after it has, first, sat all summer, and second, one month before putting winter tires on, is, in my humble opinion, preposterous. Not to mention the "full mechanical inspection" made no mention of the front end damage from when I hit a coyote on the QE2... More

Vastly Improved I have had a very mixed experience with my time spent at Southgate Volkswagen, from service representatives giving me hardly any information on what i I have had a very mixed experience with my time spent at Southgate Volkswagen, from service representatives giving me hardly any information on what is going on, or has been done to my car, to having the shuttle service leave me at the LRT station to find my way home. However, after dealing with Chris for the first time, my faith in the dealership has been completely restored. He was extremely courteous, professional, and an overall pleasure to do business with.
