I took my car to Southgate VW for a simple oil change and what should have been a warranty issue for a button that doesn’t work. Instead, they wanted to charge me $180 just to check the button—even though I provided video proof it wasn’t working. When I picked up my car later that day, the check engine light was on. Turns out, they didn’t even tighten the oil cap properly. I had to leave my car there for another day because of their mistake. To make matters worse, I received notifications from my VW app showing that their tech took my car on a “test drive” to validate the “repair” where he was driving 110 km/h in a 60 and 80 zone. Completely unacceptable and unprofessional. Do not take your vehicle here unless you want half-done work and your car abused like it’s stolen. I have screenshots and app notifications to back up everything I’m saying. More
This was my first service appointment with Southgate. I was extremely impressed and will be transferring my service file to them. I left another VW dealership because of the poor service. After my dismal experience with Norden, and after West Edmonton Volkswagon dropping the ball on my ID4 order, I thought I’d try Southgate VW. I explained to Sales rep I’ve already gone through the painful sales process twice and I wouldn’t be doing it again. I explained what I wanted and the price I would pay. To the sales rep’s credit, he didn’t mess around. He also didn’t make any false promises and said he would do what we could. I hadn’t heard anything after a few days so I followed up. He said they had come up empty and that there were no 2024s left in Western Canada and no order available from the factory. He offered a used 2020 which I wasn’t interested in. He also said he’d ask his sales rep if they could hold the discount over to 2025. This is where I think he lied to me and this didn’t happen because there was no follow-up, and after having tried to reach the VW rep myself it didn’t sound like this ever happened. Oh well…still better than Norden… More

Purchased a brand new 2024 Atlas Cross-Sport from Southgate Volkswagen. Arrived to the dealership Wednesday afternoon with no appointment and requested a test drive. Unit was readied within ten minutes and ample time was offered for the test drive. Sales process was quick and TJ in sales was great to deal with. Sent the quote back twice to have their Mandatory smart program add-on removed, only to find out that their sales manager refuses to sell vehicles unless you sign off on that program. Questionable business ethics from their business management group. After completing sales agreement their finance team had time on the spot to go over the final details with immediate credit approval. Nicky went through the typical finance, accessory packs, and extended warranty options going over any questions with great detail. Requested expedited next day delivery which was accommodated without issue, where they went over the various tech, safety and ergonomic features. Two weeks after delivery I decided to upgrade the kilometre limit of the ten-year extended warranty for resale from 120 to 180k where Mildred and Nicky were again awesome to work with. This is my first experience with the Volkswagen brand. More
