Both Jason and Donna were extremely helpful, making good suggestions on how much body work should be done, eliminating unnecessary work. The results, inside and out, are excellent--the car looks like new and the work was completed in a timely manner, earlier than expected. S. Martin More

My mos I've been having my RAV4 serviced at Scarborough Toyota for the past 9 years. I can count on them for trusted advice and quality workmanship. My most recent visit was for a leaking transaxle which was dealt with quickly and economically. Jeanneth Lagman has been my service advisor throughout the time I've owned the RAV4 and this continuity has been a key factor in building trust. More

The work included a number of part replacements (which speaks to the benefit of purchasing the extend warranty plan). Part of the work included a right front shock replacement and a rear left shock replacement and recall work that involved rear wheel alignment. Unfortunately after the work was done the vehicle developed a very scary vehicle sway (side to side) when approaching and exiting ramps to highways and expressways. I felt this extremely poor handling was caused by the recent warranty work having new shock at opposing ends of the vehicle and older (5yr) shocks on the other opposing ends. I was unable to make the service advisor understand how dangerous it was to drive the vehicle and that the vehicle NEVER handled like this before the warranty work. I did however speak the service manager Gord De Castro who responded quickly by having the vehicle in and approving replacement of the older shock absorbers under the warranty plan. He also approved a front wheel alignment at no charge that the service advisor was intend on charging me for. I want to thank Mr De Castro for his quick actions and restoring my faith in Scarborough Toyota in that I will continue to bring my vehicle here for service and will consider Scarborough Toyota for my next vehicle purchase. I w Warning, long detailed review ahead. See the end for a TLDR summary. I called in and made an appointment to get a coolant flush for my Corolla. I was told this should take 1 hour. Upon arrival, I had no idea where to go so I parked my car on the side and proceeded to the service department where I let them know I had an appointment for a coolant flush. I was told to pull my car into the bay. At this point it was 10:50am. I was greeted by service advisor Joseph Yung, who told me it would take 2 hours to complete my coolant flush. I was surprised that such a simple procedure would take that long, but I figured an extra hour added to my initial expectation wasn't that bad; I would go across the street and do some shopping at WalMart. After walking slowly through WalMart and having lunch at Subway, I returned to Scarborough Toyota after 2 hours. I decided I would wait in the waiting room, as Joseph told me they would call my cell phone once my car was ready. At this point, the 2 hour estimate was up. I sat in the waiting room watching customers come and go. I was fixated on the complimentary car wash, waiting to hopefully see my car emerge. I watched numerous cars come and go. After 3 and a half hours, I went back to Joseph and asked if they had forgotten to call me. I was advised that they were really busy and it would be 1 more hour before my car service was completed. Amazed and frustrated, I could do nothing but sit back in the waiting room and do just that: wait. I brought my car in for my scheduled 11am appointment, which I was told would take one hour. It wasn't until 4:37pm that I received a call from a Kason Briggs (a different service advisor than I had originally dealt with) telling me my car was ready. 5 hours and 37 minutes to perform a coolant flush. I expressed my disappointment with the wait time. Kason blamed Joseph for not offering me a shuttle car to drive me home instead of waiting around for over 5 and a half hours. I told him that I should not ever have been offered a shuttle regardless, since any competent mechanic could perform a coolant flush in less than 30 minutes. As Joseph had originally told me, they were busy and so it would be a 2 hour wait. Not a 5 hour 37 minute wait though. Kason gave me a $30 discount on account for the long wait time. With the discount, I still paid almost $200 to perform a simple 30min coolant flush. I have since received quotes for the same service from other dealerships/garages. They range anywhere from $90 to $175 for the same service. I was even laughed at by a close friend who happens to be a mechanic in London, ON. He told me I could have driven my car there, got the coolant flush, went for lunch, and then driven back to Toronto in less time than it took Scarborough Toyota to perform the service. Sounds ridiculous, but the time frame makes sense. Overall, I am satisfied with the actual service that my car received. It seems that a proper coolant flush was performed. What I am not satisfied with is the crazy wait time. I had booked an appointment several days in advance, 11am for a coolant flush. They knew I was coming, they told me the day and time to arrive, and they told me it would take 1 hour. Having me wait over 5 and a half hours was so disappointing, especially since I never received any call or any warning that my service would be taking longer than 3 hours. Looking back, I wonder how much longer I would have waited had I not inquired about my vehicle at the 3 and a half hour mark. Overall, I feel like I was brushed aside by the dealership. As it was my first visit, and for a rather minor service, I guess my vehicle wasn't seen as a priority. And I am extremely disappointed with Scarborough Toyota's scheduling of service appointments: If they schedule my car in for 11am and tell me it will be a 1 hour wait time, then it should not be over 5 and a half hours wait time. It is obvious that either my car was 'forgotten' for a certain amount of time, or that the scheduling is completely off and therefore useless. Summary: Scheduled for a 1 hour coolant flush. Waited over 5 and a half hours. Disappointed. More
